The SemperComm Award is given at the SemperComm Foundation's annual Gala. Next year's Gala is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. Nominations for the 2008 SemperComm Award are now open! Please see the information and nomination form below to submit all entries. We look forward to receiving your nominations!
About the SemperComm Award SemperComm recognizes that there are a significant number of overseas bases not on the front lines that lack access to basic communications and entertainment equipment. While we hope to eventually reach out to all isolated bases, the SemperComm Award is designed to recognize and honor those service members who are making personal contributions to boost the morale of their fellow men and women. The winners will be determined based on three criteria:
Actions taken to boost the morale of fellow service members Remoteness and size of the base where the nominee is stationed Desire to go above and beyond the call of duty
Eligibility Service personnel from all military branches, including the Coast Guard, combatant command and field commands are asked to nominate individuals whom they deem worthy of this award. SemperComm's goal is to honor award recipients from different branches of the service at the annual Gala.
