I will be moving to Washington DC in about a month.
While looking for ice rinks in the area to join a men's ice hockey league I found the DC Police team. Apparently sometime this year they played the "US Coast Guard". I checked the CGA hockey team's website to see if that was the Coast Guard team they played...doesn't look like it was. I played in the Commandant's Cup this year and I know CGHQ has a team; I just can't tell if the team typically plays together or forms just before the Commandant's Cup. Anyone know if there is a Coast Guard ice hockey team in the DC area? Was that the team that played the DC Police team? Thanks for the help! |

Nevermind, I got the answer. A moderator is free to delete this thread. I apologize for taking up space.
The CGHQ team played DC Police and they also play Secret Service and the FBI teams. |

I've played in pickup games most of my life and if you find a rink I gaurantee there are folks looking for skaters. In the town I live in we have pickup hockey for oldtimers that I could skate four times a week in the evening hours.
We even have a group of hippies playing on sunday nights for two hours each week. Head man the puck, Dick |
