Several years ago, there was a thread here which I thought was the best thread I ever read on mil.com. or any other board for that matter. It had to do with experiences on Ocean Stations. I'd like to know if the thread can be recovered. Is it archived somewhere? I'm not having any luck searching for it through the search function on this site.
Thanks, Bill |

Bill,
I think you are recalling "Jacks Joint". Recall that all the stories from the thread over here, were sent over there to clear up space, and preserve them. |

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I will check it out. I do remember the thread originating here though and there were some great stories in it.

Bill, You are right, the Ocean Stations thread did start here. After it petered out, Jack
Eckart moved a lot of the stories to Jack's Joint, so they could be saved. Here' a link to part one Ocean Stations 1 And part two Part two Now, we have to save Jack's Joint. Jack |

If you have an idea on the web url, you can go to this web archive and try a search.
Web Archive There are other ways of doing searches, I found some old parts to fredsplace.org just to see what was there, and I found some pages from '98-'99 timeframe. I also found this in a google search, but have not tried it out yet. Archives of Dead Web Pages Now here's a blast from the past ... Fred's Old Point Counter Point --Jim Life is good! |
