Has anyone else here signed up for the Tricare4u.com website in order to access EOB information?

I consider myself a fairly expert user of computers and it has been a long time since I've been forced to wrangle with such a poorly designed interface. It's not compatible with Firefox, it uses scrolling frames within frames (so that buttons just disappear), and there are multiple broken links. When I called the 800 number on the site for help, I had to sit through Tricare's voice mail hell only to be told I had to call a different region because they were responsible for the site. Whiskey Tango....? I gave up and sent an e-mail to their customer service link, which promises a response in two days. Both times I sent a query, it takes a minimum of four days to get an answer from them (the standard is supposed to be two business days).

Now that I've successfully registered my spouse and myself....no claims show up. Guess I'll have to wait another four days to get an explanation for that.

Tricare for "u" -- I don't think so.

Thanks for listening. I feel better now.

After 7+ years of being retired, I finally tried to use Tricare. I dislocated an elbow (or broke an arm) trying to catch a pass from Jim Harbaugh (he never was very accurate passer) after a Chiefs/Cardinal game. Tricare gave me options for quite a few clinics to visit. Unfortunately, they were all Planned Parenthood clinics. Luke AFB told me that I could swing by and hang out around the clinics in hopes of being seen. (a wasted day if no one missed an appointment.)

Luckily, the swelling finally went down and my arm healed on its own. I'm even back to playing golf with it.

My experience is that its best to stay healthy when covered by the "promised:" military health care system.

I've been retired for 20+ and have used Tricare from day 1. I get my EOB's from mytricare.com. Haven't had any problems. They e-mail each time I have an new EOB, but wait a couple of days to print it out.

Having Triscare for life, I looked for a Doctor who accepted both Medicare AND Tricare. I found one who seems to be top-notch and I have no problem getting an appointment. Maybe the fact that I am not quite as prejudiced as some Texans has some bearing. The good Doctor is Iranian and was attending an Iranian medical school when the hostage thing took place during the Carter administration.

I've found doctors here in San Pedro who take Tricare Medicare for the full fee. I know of some women who just have tricare and they do the same, shop for doctors who take Tricare.

I and my family have all the same Doctors that we when we had Blue Cross and Harvard Pilgrim. So Tricare does okay by me.

EXCUUUUSE me, but SOME of us were taken in by a government promise of TOTALLY FREE medical care for life for simply giving up TWENTY or more years of our lives to indentured servitude.

It may seem a minor thing to those of you who signed up without that promise, but the more things they do to us to bilk us out of what was promised, the more p1ssed we get.

I would submit that what WE paid was sufficient to cover top grade care.
