My God! so many young men who had a lifetime before them, they died too soon. God Bless them for their service I hope and pray we don't interfere with another country.
Thanks for the link

As I seem to recall it, they interfered with ours first.

Most of our casualties have come from Iraq. If that is who you felt interfered with our's first, your recollections are incorrect.

Afghanistan... that war those veterans are beginning to call the forgotten war, was the nation that tried to protect the guys who attacked us on 9-11. The nation where most of the nutz came from was Saudi Arabia.

Perhaps the thousands of times since 1993 that they lit up and fired upon US military personnel enforcing UN sanctions and the 1991 cease-fire agreement?

If you were willing to read it instead of regurgitating leftist anti-war rhetoric posed as a "question", the Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq gives plenty of other examples of interference on the part of the Saddam regime as well.

I havent replied because I felt Don had a great point, and ill leave the debate for the Soapbox. There is a place and a time, and this thread wasnt the place for that discussion.

I do. The United States flag is half-masted until noon. I'm also displaying the State of Maine flag and the United States Coast Guard flag on the yardarm.

Wray,

It's a SAAB 97x with the 4.2 liter engine. We got 21 mpg on the turnpike to New Jersey. Around town we get approx 17-18 mpg.

I really like the vehicle. It's very comfortable and after 14 hours of straight driving I was tired, but not sore.

It also came with 3 years free maintenance and
a 5 year 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

1110-

Don's right, this isn't the place for this discussion. Let me just say one thing.....there is no way in hell I am anti-war, a leftist or a liberal.

If you want to discuss this further we can do so via e-mail, another thread in the Soapbox or on USMilnet.
