After months of planning, and organization, we have reached our goal in the creation of the Coast Guard Company Commander's Association. The purpose of the Association is to improve and support the continued excellence of Training Center Cape May, the Recruit Training Center Regiment, the Corps of Company Commanders, and the surrounding communities. Membership is open to any current Company Commander, or any past Company Commander that was not be relieved due to misconduct. Every CC remembers their time here in Cape May well, and most are proud of what they accomplished here, and the people they trained. Regular membership will be at a rate of $60.00/year, payable in January for the current year. For the remainder of 2008 the rate will be prorated at a rate of $5.00/month. For Charter memberships, the prorated dues for 2008 ($15.00) will be due upon registration. I envite you to join us in helping to sustain and improve this rewarding job. For more information please contact me via email: roel.j.garcia@uscg.mil v/r Yn2 Roel. J. Garcia Recruit Company Drill Master President, Company Commander Association

DAlcantara, membership is open to any past or current Company Commanders including thoes that were attached to Alameda. I encourage all Company Commanders to contact me Roel.J.Garcia@uscg.mil. We are talking about putting together a photo album of past and present CC's to be displayed in Company Commander School.

gowyo1. As an association we are still in the beginning stages as we move ahead we will start ironing out all the details, one of them being to lower the dues and to offer a one time membership. What will you get in return? Some current ideas: charter membership certificate, a t-shirt/polo with the CC Association emblem. Some ideas for the future: stickers for your car window, CC Association pins, news letters (current events on the TRACEN). The dues will also help as we begin fund raising for the legacy program we are starting. The first legacy item we are raising money for is a memorial to all CC's past and present (yes this includes CC's from California as well). The memorial will be a life size statue of a male and female Company Commander, much like the Marine Corps DI statue in Paris Island. These are the type of things the Association will be donating to the regiment. As of right now there are very few memorials or statues for the recruits to see. As an association we can change that.
