Personally, I think that you have done an excellent job and would hate to see you quit. You have shown fairness in not only your comments, but you ensure that you don't end arguments with threats of censure to whomever might "slight" you. Keep up the great work! (By the way, I didn't give you an "A", you earned it!) Cool

Sinbad:

Thanks for taking the risk to ask for feedback. You ain't perfect, but you do a fairly decent job. The problem ain't you or the other CG mods... it's the company you work for, and those higher up than you. You mitigate the damage they do, but can't remove it.

Just my opinion.

We had a run in when I first started to post here Larry when I called another Bible thumping member a "closet Christian" because of their Anon Profile. But we worked it out and speaking as a moderator for another board Larry, I think you do a great job.

It's not easy to try and be impartial as we have personality clashes just like anyone else on the boards. I have posters I like and others I'd like to put on ignore but as a mod I don't have that luxury.

You're a class act Larry. As I said before shipmate, if you are ever in Dallas, look me up and we will go tip a few beers and have a nice seafood dinner.

Cheers ...
Beer

According to your poll and with 16 votes, you're at 81%, low B (I used 95/85/75/65/55 as the midline for each letter grade).

Hang in there... Beer

I think calling it a "running" acceleration is being overly generous. Razz If I remember right, you needed a gear lower than first! I haven't seen that many semi's pass me in a long time Big Grin

Sindbad, I for one am glad to see you here as a Mod. I think you do an awesome job and put up with way more than you should have to for no pay. Beer Thanks for taking your own time to keep this place going well. Some people just are not happy unless they're complaining, and if they don't have anything to complain about they would b*tch about that! Wink

If there was a smiley for blushing, I'd have to use it...

....you people are way too nice. Wink

JAC: someone once said, statsistics are like a promiscuous person--once you get them down, you can have your way with them. Big Grin

John,
That '63 Rambler Ambassador went to Doug Butcher--I think he abandoned the damn thing up near Eureka since I received a warrant notice for many months later. Seems he never finished the registration/title switch process. Big Grin

Remember him and the BM1 going at it on the pier? (San Diego, I think).

Hans,

Almost always having fun except those days when I'm cutting grass and I catch a pile of dog turd the wrong way and fling it gosh knows where.

And, I think with the work you do at another military-related site easily qualifies ya.

Cool

Larry sends wishing only that this site had the cool smileys of that other site...

Sindbad,

At the risk of having another moderator cut off this thread (changing subject matter), I would rather be cutting grass and worrying about dog turds than chopping ice and shoveling snow so that I can walk on the boardwalk to school. We still have about 3 feet of standing snow on the ground and it is so hard now that you can walk across the top of most of it. However, I keep finding that stupid soft spot and sinking down to my thigh.

Keep up the good work (there I got us back on track)! Cool

Don't remember that, I remember us hitting Broadway Pier when Lt Ciley (?) forgot water still runs under the piers and cut power waaay too soon! Sherman still carries that dent! I remember the faces of the people on the pier (including my Dad) when they realized we was gonna hit!! BM1 Howard Cooley (?) ordered a can of paint to be delivered to Lt Ciley's stateroom..

Sinbad,
With 23 votes in it loks like members either really like what you're doing or really don't No C's and few D's or B's. It's either A or F for you.
Personnally, I enjoy your humor. Keep up the good work and thanks for volunteering your time here.

Problem is, I spend so much time at the other site that I don't spend enough time here to throw in a fair opinion. Got a lot of respect for a lot of the members here and enjoy dropping in now and then. Although I won't cast a vote on the mod thing, you can count yourself in among the respected ones Larry Smile Beer
