Coast Guard Service Member Accused of Beating Neighbor
Brad Wray FOX 26 News Houston News HOUSTON -- The U.S. Coast Guard said it is investigating allegations against a service member accused of brutally beating his neighbor. Officials said an altercation escalated after the 21-year-old victim told the service member not to block his drive way. The victim was so beaten, he has been in the hospital for two weeks, official said. |

I find it hard to believe that a Coastie just goes on a rampage and punches someone over a parking issue.
What I suspect more than likely happened, is the victim got confrontational, knocked on the Coasties door, demanded that he move his truck, probably said some unkind words to the Coastie, and promptly got his @ss handed to him. If you come up banging on my door and talk to me like an adult, I will be kind and understanding. You come up yelling at me especially with my kids around, and a busted ear drum and two weeks in the hospital might be the best you can hope for. T |

I have as well. I am a pretty optimistic person, so I would rather think of an appropriate cause than a Coastie just wailing on someone. I do wonder why anger management is such an issue for a service of this size though. T |

I ust heard about this last night!! WOW!
There has to be something else to the story. I just transferred to Cali from Galveston where BM1 is stationed at. I've known him for about 2 years and he's a straight up dude. He's a Boarding Officer as well so I know that he knows how to keep his head in a situation. Something else had to have gone down & I know there is more to the story. |

I love when people used the "He was a straight up guy/dude" "He was a boarding Officer" "He taught me so much" "He was the best first class I ever met" Haven't we proven on here that it doesn't matter. Everytime one of these stories get posted on here everyone comes to there rescue and says how wonderful they are. If they are all so wonderful why did they do whatever they did in the first place. People screw up, thats that, how you new them a year ago to a minute ago has no factor on what they are going to do a minute from now.

Well, we need to see both sides of the story. This kid could have done things over a period of time and this was the straw that broke the camels back.
Imagine a 21 yr old having parties all night long, shooting your dog with a bb gun, generally justa jerk. Knock knock, move ur f-ing car. Yeah one black eye and one busted ear drum. Kid is lucky in my eyes. Just lookin around the corner. Who knows what really happened. News will just take anything said and spin it until they get what they want. bah. stupid news reporters |
