Did anyone see the Coast Guard flag behind the podium on Fox News today from Dick Cheney's recent speech last night? Fox replayed the speech and I noticed the flag during the speech read :United STATE Coast Guard". They left out the "s" on States...wonder where that flag came from?

Caught a view last night. Surely does appear to have the "S" missing at the end of the word STATES. UNITED STATE COAST GUARD. Didn't look at all as though it might have been tucked into a fold.

I noticed it too and commented to my wife that the flag was probably made in China like everything else that is sold in America!

To much to ask for some to pay attention to details I suppose.

That's about where we are heading. Way to go! I'm just soooo damn proud of our leaders! Gotta bet that there's some drywall made in China in the new HQ buildings.

After so much of that wasteful spending of the stimulus money, they had to settle for buying the flags that were on the discount rack....without all the letters.

I caught the presentation live, and the first thing I noticed was the Coast Guard flag display. As a former TV-Director, and production assistant, I thought those responsible for set-up might have had a CG affiliation. I appreciated the sea-services representation, but missed the missing “S”. It is an obvious omission since the spacing belies another letter. It just takes one “Aw S******, to wipe out a thousand atta-boys.”

Didn't the "S" hit the fan after that speech?

Maybe the flag was made in China.....or maybe not....

I bought a brand new Dodge van several years ago. The word Dodge was spelled out in individual letters on the hood--

D-D-O-G-E

And the letters were crooked. The vehicle was a piece of crap that I traded in at 14,000 miles because no dealer could figure out why it would suddenly start backfiring through the carburetor and bucking like a wild horse.

The Chinese aren't the only ones capable of cranking out some subquality junk.

I don't know where that particular flag was made, but the American Flags sold at the CG Exchange in Kodiak were made in China and were Orange, white and Blue. ???
