Thank you all. I look forward to the stress levels experienced sitting in front of 12 VHF/Highlevel sites on the 4th of July that served along the Ohio River. Never knew what a air traffic controlle felt till those days.

Anyway. Thanks again as milita1 as my mentor.. I'm sure to be set strait of the ways the boards.

EMC_.. I was around.. just lurking in the shadows. You know us RM's.. we be a creapy, miss-understood bunch. Whisper

Beer to all.

He volunteered, and once we made him pass a trial "wagon-circling" class, it was all good.

Congrats Dennis! Beer

I always thought being a good father and husband was the hardest job. So, maybe I can apply some of those "lessons learned" here.. Wink I won't suspend people.. I'll just send them to their room, restrict their cell phone (limited calls to/from mom and dad) use and limit thier internet access. And if that doesn't work.. Dial up for everyone with a 14.4k modem. Frown

Thanks again everyone.

And MC Wray.. Days of Thunder in Louisville, and all those other "races" in Evansville IN, Pittsburgh, and Cin city Oh.. Use to love those houseboats who were DIW, 10 pob about a half a mile up river of a lock and dam. Why can't they be disabled BELOW the dam? Just made the job too easy I guess. Thank god for fast acting fleeting tugs. Angry Whip

All the old RM's I knew played softball and were party animals. Works for me, good luck.

I used to play music with the RM while on ops watch in Sitka. He played fiddle and I played guitar while standing the night ops watch.
Wish I could remember his name. Great guy, 2nd class RM with a beard, but alas it was the 70's!
