Is there anything in the TOS to stop moderators from spamming the boards?

The All new Wars and Conflicts forum is just the latest example.

Post in one forum (this one seems to make sense) but leave the other alone!

Does begging and pleading count as foreplay?

Nope, I think the moderators have the power to decide that a topic is so important to everyone then can put a message in every board. They can also make sure a post stays on top.

I think they should be rotated to the bottom of the list like all the other posts

Crap like that should be banned. Who cares what the mod thinks is important. Just put in another forum and we can all go and look if we want to. We don't.

If it is such an earth shaking event topic, then make ONE post and then move it off the line. We don't need every single response, no matter how important YOU think it is. It's not.

Get it?

Who cares what the moderators think is important??? Thats a bold statement if I have ever seen one. Your talking about roughly 45 moderators total. What do you want? Lets feature every thread that you post because you feel it has some relevance in the grand scheme of things. Puhhhlease.

I do agree that if it is featured and is specific service related, feature it on that services board, not all mil.com boards.

It does get aggrivating.

Don't mind the moderators showing us something important, but 3 different threads? Come on, that is just too much. Cool

Tony,

We ( the members) have spoken about this before. Is there really a need for each and every board,
to be SPAMMED by moderators with every one of the 45 different ideas, about "important" tropics????????????????????

Why has Mil.com not changed it's internal workings so that an individual moderator's idea instead of SPAMMING everything, only goes to the top the main board????????

Mil.com is like a big tree. Any every time one of the 45 Mods hits that DAMMMMMN all in one button, every idea goes not just to the main branches, but to every DAMMN leaf.

IT IS NOW TIME for you and the others to have ROB or anyone else that needs to be told to change the system. It's plain to see, that they are not listening or reading what WE want.

I'm not yelling at you, but I am trying to get you and the others to make some changes within the system that you are part of.

This C**P has to stop.

Jack

Wray,

You are right and I will. However, this stuff has been going on for some time, and I feel that as our link to higher management, the moderators, have a two way duty, to enforce the beloved TOS, and carry our complaints to higher.

Perhaps Rob needs to moderate his moderators.

Wow....are you kidding me....you guys are seriously miffed about this. I don't believe I have to explain anything to you guys.

I think you all are getting alittle overboard about this. I had put this on for a short time to get people involved. If you don't want to be involved then ignore it.

I don't believe you guys own the site....

And, whats funny is you all can make whatever topic you want and we "The Mods" don't sit there and tell you no unless it is against the TOS.

And, it is not Spam if it involves the Military.com site. If you all want to step up to the plate then step up....

And, militia1, what is up with that.....I can understand having friends, but when you start talking against other Mods. then that takes the cake....

And, if you actually went to the "Wars and Conflicts" Forum you would realize this is for everybody, all services that have served in a War or Conflict....

I guess some moderators don't know how to post in the area(s) where the message is congruent with the area(s) and not every damm place.

You don't send an ALCOAST when you only want the message to an AIG.

Your not showing alot of class coming in here to B I T C H about the program when it's the moderators who select the "post everywhere function" because they are TOO DAMM LAZY to post [using copy and paste] in the few area's the message is needed.

And if you don't know it here's the definition of SPAM

quote:
Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.

You know, you guys have a broad range to work with here....you just have to put in your two cents, because you have nothing else to do.

And, if you want to talk to the main man, Rob, go right ahead.....you all have a tendancy to act like things should be your way. This is for your entertainment and to find friends or make them....not, for you to control. They pick people to do that, and your not one of them.

I don't think he got the point, and having the SPAM button at his fingers, I suspect more to follow.

Geez!
