After some discussion with Mil.com admin staff and the other CG Forum Moderators, I am pleased to announce that "Surface Force" has volunteered and been unanimously approved for addition to the CG Forums Moderating team. I will leave this thread open so he has an opportunity to introduce himself.
Ron - as a vet and a civilian, of course you can do what you want, but only retirees or folks currently serving customarily deserve the honor of retaining a former military title of rank.
Congrats to you on this honor. Your posts will always serve as the best introduction to who you are.
I suspect this forum, like America, is strongest when those with bold views are allowed to speak out. I'm certain you will not become some wall-flower.

Master Chief .. I am aware of that but thank you for the reminder. In the emails Surface Force and I have exchanged over this past year I just got into the habit of calling him LT. No disrespect intended to any retired or active duty U.S. Military personnel.
Surface Force .... Welcome Aboard... While we have had some differences of opinion here & there, I think you will do an excellent job as moderator. I wish you well. I still hope one of these days to know who I am talking to If you come to FLorida, the drinks are on me!

In all seriousness, my only beef w/ the Sox is they have one of the highest payrolls in the majors, but still had trouble dominating their division and getting their groove on against a team like TB - whose salarys total like 1/3 of Bostons.
Plus, if they are going to charge me $7.75 for a beer...
