Need to ask for some help on this one, I have contacted GPO and was redirected to Anthony Smith in Head Quarters and have yet to here back from him. I currently have a BMCS and BMC on me to try and get these done. Any tips for ordering these and not going through GPO.

Unless there’s been a recent change in policy, your request must be processed through GPO.

GPO does not actually print Change of Command invitations – GPO will subcontract the work to a printing company.

Within the past year, I ordered Change of Command invitations, booklets, training guides, etc., through the GPO office in Newport News, VA.

From my experience, GPO is professional, respond to questions in a timely fashion, deliver orders promptly, and the cost is relatively inexpensive.

I suggest you contact your COCO for guidance.

I agree. Contact your COCO. I've done the same thing. I've gone through the GPO for invitations. Unless you have a Simplified Purchase Agreement training from the GPO. If you have that, you can use that to go to a local SPA approved printer to have work done under a certain price. I have done this as well.

I just had our units COC invites done through our regional GPO with no problems. Maybe you were talking to the wrong person at GPO. If you get nowhere in few days post again with your contact info and I will try to assist.

Keep calling GPO and working with the POC, but if they don't reply contact me. Just got the invitations and programs for our upcoming ceremony. I have a SPA certificate and authorized to go through GPO vendors directly. I can order what you need and have you FTA our unit the funds. A fellow SK did that for me years back when I was in a jam....pay it forward.

Does anyone go directly to GPO or do you have to go through the ISC first?

Just curious why you would go through your ISC unless you do not have procurement authority??
So to answer you question, if you procurement authority and a P-card there is no need to go through the ISC.

Always...when in doubt...call the COCO. That's why they are there.
