anybody know where I can find regulatory guidance on Abandonment in place?

I've got something that's is broke to the point where the cost of repairing it would exceed the cost of replacing it, but it's a heavy duty item so destroying it would be pretty difficult.

PMM chapter 8H says that abandonment is an option, I'm just wondering what the particulars are for it.

You might also want to look into a Qualified Recycling Program and sell it for scrap with proceeds to the unit morale fund.
