A friend of mine, making SKC, got his special assignment orders about a month ago. He's Pri 4.

Special Assignments get their orders early. This pulls people out of the normal assignment process just like XPO/OINC billets.

Got orders a week and a half ago, and received my #1 pick...AVDET GTMO.

~I was stationed there as a SK3 from late '99 to '02 and always wanted to get back there.

That's actually my dream billet, but the wife isn't too keen on it. Hopefully I'll see something soon. I'm a priority three with almost 5 years sea time so you would think I would see something soon.

I am an independent SK1; I am PRI 4 and I havent heard anything yet about where I am going or who is replacing me.....yet a PRI 5 SK2 making SK1 has heard. Bewildered to say the least!

I got my #1 pick on tuesday and I am a priority 3 SK2 with 4 and half years see time. I would assume next week is the priority 4's. My SK1 got his #1 pick too. Good luck to all and to all a merry christmas.

By my calculations there are 18 billets left for SKC to be assigned. I would add up SK1 and SK2 billets but that would take more time than my 3 year old and 3 month old will allow my attention to be away from them. Go to the full shopping list and copy and paste the text into an excel spreadsheet. Delete multiple entries for each position. That will give you what's left. My top picks are still available and I'm hoping that they are pending the results of the revised cuts. Santa please bring my family good news for Christmas.

So now I know that I'll be assigned as an SKC. My bet is I'll be seeing orders to Sector Lower Mississippi soon. If not that then Cape May. Anyone have any info on the locations? Just hoping for orders soon.

I've got a ? Now that there are 7 more SKCs making it, are they looking at a transfer? I'm making it off the initial awaiting orders. Now do I have to compete against the newest ranks which include Pri 3 and 4? Has anyone heard from the detailer in regards to AY08 or 09 for those who are making the cut after the revision?

I got orders to Station Monterey...I am coming form Air Station Clearwater...I am happy but really wanted Charleston S.C.

I forgot I am an E6...

Monterey is awesome! I have been trying to get those orders for the past few years...
