Just a FYI and another travel tip....

American Airlines does fly the Boeing 777 domestically in a effort to balance their equipment at various hubs.

Why do you care?

Well for one there are three classes of service on the plane. Coach, Business and First Class. If you can hookup on a flight and you have a American Airlines Advantage frequent flyer card a lot of times they will give you a free upgrade to Business Class on the plane domestically. Because they cannot fill those Business Class seats domestically. That is a HUGE deal comfort wise for the price of a coach ticket.

The domestic routes that the 777 flies on American are Dallas - O'Hare, Dallas - Miami, etc. You can obtain a American system timetable and scan on there what other domestic routes it flies on. I used to always fly them to O'Hare and Miami and would bend my route a little to get that comfortable ride at a huge discount over what it normally costs.

It sucks if you get stuck in Coach on this plane though and your in the middle, so request a Coach window seat.

Just a FYI of something to try that makes travel interesting.

Delta flies their T7s on very few domestic routes, but they don't have three classes.

ATL-LAX every once and a while, but I think those are mostly stop-overs for the leap to Asian destinations.

An excellent airplane! The GE90s rock!

It's a hell of a lot better than the older ones. Did a 14.5 hour flight in one a few weeks ago. The on-demand entertainment is nice.

There is actually an online system called Seat Guru that has all the airlines and all the planes they fly. Then you can find out what seats to stay away from and what ones are the best. When I looked after we had flown on United it definitely confirmed what we already discovered, we had been in the worst row for long distance flying!! Curse
