We've done shades as well. But now my husband is an E7 (retired). We find it actually cheaper to stay at one of the Value resorts on site and drive up to Shades and go to the Ticket counter to purchase the tickets. You save some money and pay no tax. You do not have to be a guest at Shades to purchase any park tickets. We still enjoy the park shuttle transportation to all the parks and pleasure island. Smile

Are you saying that if you don't stay at Shades of Green you can't get the Military Salute tickets that is advertised on Disney's web page? We are renting a home just outside of Disney and was going to go that way.

you can still purchase them.. its just that goingto SoG you will not pay taxes like you would at the parkls themselves.

staying at SoG is not a requiremet to purchase ANY tickets from their ITT office.. just a valid ID card.

If you want to do Disney Land for cheap, do not stay at the main That is a really expensive hotel. Just stay away from that one. However, there are a lot of \ that are much cheaper. The Shades of Green Resort isn't bad at all. There are a couple ones near that, which are pretty cheap as well.

why is it people cannot read the TOS when they join?! hmmm?!

Disney World tickets at 40% off. This works I use it every year.

Disney World Ticket Information

1. Go to: no outside links
several tabs in blue.
3. Click the one that says “Events at Disney”
4. Look for an event that is going on during your planned travel time.
5. Be sure to write the event name and dates down in case they ask when you call
6. Go back to the top part of the page and click on the link that says “Visit no outside links for the AAU Travel Planner!”
7. Another window will open with a green box in it. Click on the tab under that box that says “2009 Travel Planner”.
8. Another window will open to show the planner guide. It is a four-page document. Page through that guide by either using the arrow forward or back buttons at the top or by clicking on the right edge of the book itself.
9. The last page shows all ticket options and prices. These prices include tax!
10. Decide which tickets you would like and then simply call the toll-free number listed of the page.

We have never had any problems, it’s always worked very well! Good luck, and have fun at Disney World!

And if you read the fine print, they are extending the offer to 100% disabled vets with an ID card.

hi

i live just north of chicago, so i obviously wouldnt be able to help with disney tickets. However, I usually get our plane tickets on Military.com or Hotwire.com is the best place to get hotels for much much cheaper. Be careful though because you do not get the hotel name until you "book" the property, you can look on several sites to narrow down which one they are talking about. good luck!

This is an outstanding deal. I used this the summer of 2009. I took a family of 5 and my sons girlfriend, and saved over 1600 dollars. That was with the fact that I upgraded the 5 additional tickets to match the complimentary one, adding park hopper and waterparks and more options.

These tickets can be purchased at the ITT counter at Shades of Green, or at least they could then.

Again, an OUTSTANDING value. I can't really speak to the housing, since I traded a timeshare week for a resort 5 minutes from the front gate. That was sweet, we stayed at a 3 BR condo on a 40 acre resort.
