I am intereseted in trying to get the Dauphin Island Complex opened back up, since it's closer after hurricane Katrina. Was wondering if anyone else out there thought it would be a good idea? There are very few plces in the Gulf Coast region and none in AL. for military to find a vacation spot. Can you please give me your opinion on this and if you have stayed there, what was your thoughts on it.

My husband and I vacationed at the Rec Complex on DI several years ago and now live back in the Mobile area. We would love to see something happen with the complex and would really hate to see it get out of reach for veterans or service members. We'd love to help if something is in the works to get it up and going again!

Have not stayed there, but I looked up information about the area and it sounds like a really nice spot. I would also like to see it reopened and would like more information if anyone has it. Thanks.
