Has anyone taken advantage of this? The deals on the website are great, almost to good to be true. With those kind of deals I would think I would run into a lot of people who have utilized this benefit, but I haven't.
The Club is run by the Timeshare company RCI. They are offering excess inventory to military personnel. Read the fine print carefully to make sure there are no extra charges or deposits. I have used RCI when we owned a Timeshare (my wife thought we would vacation more). We had a couple of nice exchanges. Timeshares are very different than hotels. And when I have looked at what AFVC had to offer, they did not have what I wanted, where and when I wanted it.
RCI is owned by Wyndham Worldwide Corporation. They also own Ramada, Wingate, Days Inn, HOJOs and Travelodge. All offer Military deals. Most of their hotels are Franchised. Cendant used to own Wyndham, Avis/Budget, Travelport and some real estate companies, but in 2006 separated into separate companies.
