Big graduation party for military in December,2009. I need ten rooms, and don't want to stay at the Flamingo where the graduation party is taking place. Any suggestions on the strip for under $125/nt for Thurs/Fri/Sat leave on Sunday? Just not familiar with accommodations on the Strip and looking for insight. All the hotels say their place is really nice:-) Thanks in advance, and any travel agent recommendations would be greatly appreciated since we are such a large party.

Suggest staying at the Orleans near the strip, or the Palmsm they have a shuttle to Caesars. If you have transportation go to Boulder Highway or near Ellis at Arizona Charlies.

I lived in Las Vegas and worked front dest at the Rio Hotel for years. The Rio is located right off the strip behind Casars Palace. Every suite offers more than 600 square feet of spacious luxury, including a separate dressing area, couch, 32-inch TV, table with chairs, hairdryer, in-suite refrigerator, iron, ironing board and complimentary in-suite safe. The Rio still boasts the worlds largest international buffet but if thats not your speed try the all seafood buffet. I just checked on the prices of the suites for the month of December, you better get right on top of this.

The other place we like to stay at while we are in Vegas is the Texas Station. Its approx 10 min by car from the strip. The pros of this casio is thier military rate is (AWSOME). We usually end up spending less than $35 per night for a family room. The casio in itself is self contained with bowling alley and a 18-screen movie theater. On weekends they almost always have live entertainment at each corner to suit everyone's taste. The buffet at the Texas is also affordable and awsome. You literally can get full just looking at all the goodies.
