Funny. Yes, Korn..paint the entire GOP over the actions of this one person..

In that case the Dem's would all be homosexual, pedophiles, flipfloppers, draft dodging, racist, muslim, community ogranizers.

Perhaps not relevant, but probably property of the citizens of SC, and subject to FOIA.

We watched the mayor of Detroit have thousands of his text messages published--electronic love notes; very graphic. He used a city pager, with an outdated technology that actually archived them, and thought he had some expectation of privacy.

Watch what you say and where you say it.

Gotta love the Patriot Act, eh Gunny? It's all fair game now.

Doubt it has anything to do with the patriot act.

Gubby accounts have always been public.

as far as these emails, looks like someone needs to be charged.

Very True, but private emails are just that no matter who you are. If it isnt a criminal act then private emails are off limits,

Tell that to Kwame Kilpatrick, ex mayor of Detroit. He went to jail because of emails.

His were criminal acts.

Lets review Gov's who fell from crace.

McGayvy criminal, paying boysqueeze with taxpayer money for a position he wasnt qual'd for.

Sfister criminal, prosecuted people for wh_oring and was doing it himself on taxpaer expense.

Sanford, moral crime made the mistake of falling for a foreign chik and being a dumbazz.

Personal Emails come into play when its a criminal act, not moral crime.

Problem is that if that politician is from the Democratic Party they'll get a "Free Pass" by the msm. I say this, because of all the freebies that it gave Clinton over the years despite all his affairs.

You assume that relationship was ever anything other then the power coupling it was/is.

How many time you think Bill has hit that..ever? 3? 4?

Get a life! Talk about revising history just because YOU dislike people. Do you really think that ANYONE thought Mr. Clinton was powerful at the time they got married?

He did NOT confess he got CAUGHT, IMO mostly because he broke state rules and maybe laws by leaving the country without turning over power and was DELIBERATELY out of contact without turning over power.

The adultery, in and of itself, doesn't necessarily render him unfit to serve. The hypocrisy does though. He built his career on family values issues and called for other politicians who were adulterous to "do the honorable thing" and step down. As a Congressman he wagged his finger at Clinton over the Lewinsky affair and voted for the articles of impeachment. Now he should do the right thing and follow the rules he applies to everyone else.

This is "very damaging stuff," Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton's conduct became known. "I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)... Actually, if I recall, he didn't "man up" at all. In fact, I remember how he was on a hiking trip, which he later back peddled and finally admitted he went to Argentina. Basically, he was caught, like many, with his pants down and then proceeded to tell the truth. After the fact I might add.

Went and looked back at the Edwards thread and amazingly the biggest Hypocricy screamers here were UA/AWOL from that thread. And the 1 that made a commit made in ref to McCain.

I made a comment in regards to Edwards paying his wench for a job she wasnt qual'd for.

And yes, edwards ran on family values.

I dont care which party it is.

Senator Ensign and Governor Sanford both, during the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, demanded that President Clinton resign the Presidency because of his "immorality".

Notice how neither Senator Ensign or Governor Sanford haven't resigned their offices because of their "immorality".

If someone else cheats on their spouse, they're "immoral".

If you cheat on your spouse, you're not "immoral".

Hypocrisy?

PUUULLEEEASE!! Give me a freakin break! I know you're from S.Corlina in all, but you need to face the fact. The governor screewed the pooch! He was suppose to take the boys to some type of religious retreat, but he flew 10,000 miles for a piece of @$$. I mean ...did he think he could just sneak back in the country like an Illegal alien (your favorite subjectBig Grin) He should have put on a sombrero, and cross the border near El Paso!! not fly in through Atlanta!! Clinton: F'd around in the Oval office, Literally lied to the American people and under oath. Had a history of this behavior.

Sanford: Knew a women for awhile and recently nailed her. Didnt do it in the office. At the time he made comments about Clinton, Sanford was not doing this. Now if he condemns this behavior in the future he is definately hypocrti to the max. And didnt here him make any excuses yeterday unlike the former Prez. And Clint ran on family values too, btw.

Face the facts? what facts? he fugd up and I said he should resign. Said he did a stupid thing. But dim bulbs are making an issue out of fathers day, which is laughable especially from the party that supports fatherless attitudes. Oh, and that is btwn him and his children not the media and all the self appointed family advocay nimrods.

I heard his apology. He sounded sincere and he took full responsibility for his actions.

Only time will tell if he learned from his error and if his family can heal. The wife and he were having issues and he fell into things because all he and the other gal wanted was someone to listen. That brought them close and mother nature took over from there.

We're all a lot closer to this indiscretion than people give credence too.

Actually the local newspaper has had information for a while about a possible affair but did not publish it. While the Governor was "missing" his car was found at the airport and a report he was seen on a plane was given to the paper so a reporter was sent to the airport and greeted the Governor when he got off the plane. The Governor called the press conference a little while after being CAUGHT by the press.

It was his personal email, not his official email. I wouldn't be surprised if who ever hacked it, get's busted.

LOL, trying to level criminal charges for Adultery is pizzing in the wind. If it was doable, most of our politicians to include a president would be in jail.

His e-mail wasn't so personal. The newspaper that had them for six months says they came to them anonymously and they weren’t even sure of their authenticity right up until he was confronted by the reporter at the Atlanta Airport. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if someone close to him was the one who gave up the e-mails. If he was stupid enough to use state equipment to ‘publicly’ converse with the woman then he has no, none, nada expectation of privacy. He may very well have a private e-mail account, but if it’s on a government computer then he is up sheets creek and he doesn’t even have a canoe.

As far as the adultery charge, no doubt he has enough enemies that would bring the charges if they could. I’m inclined to think that the spouse would have to bring the charges to even make a case. But like they say, HELL HATH NO FURRY.....

It was his personal email, not his official email. I wouldn't be surprised if who ever hacked it, get's busted.

LOL, trying to level criminal charges for Adultery is pizzing in the wind. If it was doable, most of our politicians to include a president would be in jail.

Of course it could very well have been his wife, as part of HER having her husband investigated, who released the e-mails or he could have used his personal account froma state computer. One of the ways such e-mails are obtained is the spouse, as a joint owner of an account, requests the ISP to recover old e-mails from backup. In the real world it is VERY hard to (as a practical matter impossible if someone has legal access and will pay for the data searches and recovery) get rid of anything once it has been sent over the net.
