"Bowlers have BIG balls!"

quote:
Think about this one for a moment. You're a young black man or woman, you're finishing up your education and hope to have a career in politics. Along comes Barack Obama and you're just elated! The barrier has been broken and a black man is now President of the United States! Your path is clear!

But wait! In the early months of Obama's presidency his inexperience starts to show. He fails on several big fronts: Health care, cap-and-trade and the union card-check bill. He tries to convince the American people that he can provide health care to 30+ million Americans who are now uninsured ... and that he can do it with fewer doctors and nurses while spending less than we're spending right now ... and all this without every denying anyone the health care they may need. The American people don't buy it.

Let's see .. what else. Where do we start? He negotiates an automobile bailout plan that favors unions at the expense of secured investors. He appoints a serial tax cheat to run the Treasury Department. He starts a trade war with China. He tells our European allies that they're on their own when it comes to defense against incoming ballistic missiles .. and on and on and on.

So .. as Obama's incompetence becomes more evident; as his anti-capitalistic philosophy fleshes out before our eyes; and his lies see the light of day ... the criticisms start coming in. How do the liberals respond! Predictably, that's how. Everyone who criticizes the president is simply a racist! They just don't like a black man in the white house!

Now .. just how does this hurt future political aspirants? How does it hurt you? You already understand, don't you? The majority of voters out there are still white ... and unless you're going to be content being a mayor or city councilman in a city or district with a majority black voting base, you're going to need some votes from the white side. You know that many white voters are feeling a little shell shocked right now. Many of them voted for Obama. They thought the time had come when our country was going to move beyond race! Wouldn't that have been wonderful? But in light of recent events they think that they might have made a mistake. They did what they thought was right and certainly politically correct, and suddenly they're racists because they have voiced some disagreements with Obama policies?

So .. what happens when you try to run for office? The voters out there looking at you may have no personal problem with you at all. But there's this lingering fear ... a fear born of the likes of Jimmy Carter, James Clyburn, Maureen Dowd, Howard Dean, Newsweek Magazine, The New York Times and others ... the fear that if these voters ever find it necessary to question or to object to something you do in office, they're going to be branded racists. Who, after all, is going to want to put you in office if your skin color makes you politically bulletproof? So .. they plan to play it safe from now on. Vote for whites. At least when they screw up you can go after them without putting on a white robe and cone hat.

The race baiters aren't doing you any favors. But you knew that, didn't you?

I personally believe that Carter and those like him are hurting each and every member of our society, perhaps even irreparably. The false accusations of racism that have been tossed about by the shallow minded will only serve to further polarize the social and political beliefs of both sides of the political spectrum and eventually force those in the middle to pick as side, and it may not be the one Liberals will be comfortable with.

Each side has its share of rabid lunatics, but to try and define either side by its most radical elements is a terrible mistake. Rush Limbaugh no more represents me than Keith Olbermann represents all liberals yet my local TV station has been announcing that Limbaugh is my leader, a consideration I find particularly offensive. Will this disinformation change my opinion? Absolutely not. In fact it has caused me to rethink my overall opinion of liberalism in general. Any time an ideology is reduced to hurling baseless allegations like pudding in a college food fight it quickly becomes obvious that those engaging in the behavior have lost their intellectual credibility.

In all honesty I have never had much use for Carter. I was out of the county for the entirety of his administration, but from what I saw in Stars & Stripes and gleaned from the BBC and Radio Luxemburg I was better off where I was. It is sad that a new generation is being exposed to the fraud that is Carter. He deceived the country once and now he is attempting to do so again. We would all do well to ignore this ignoble charlatan and place our attention on those things that matter.

No! To claim that I am racist because I dislike the policies of POTUS is turning back the clock IMO. I guess by the new standards, I was racist of Bush when I disagreed with his policies? I will include Clinton too, because I sure didn't agree with his. The most despicable person in DC IMO is Nancy. I disagree with 99% of everything she says or does. So I guess I am racist against her too?

Most who don't agree with Obama aren't racist, but there is definitely a small percentage of people out there that are. In a country of 300 million, that can mean a lot of people.

The whole racist card didn't come out of thin air either so let's not cry about it. Jim Crow racism isn't around anymore, but when people talk about "he's not one of us", I think it has to do with more than tax policy. The whole birther movement, the muslim accusations, Rush Limbaugh calling him a Halfrican, Foxnews calling Michelle Obama a "baby mama", it's part of the same ongoing trend when it comes to attacks on this President.

Since many of the right like to play the guilt by association card with Obama when it comes to ACORN, Van Jones, or Jeremiah Wright, I'll meet you in the middle with your own playbook : Many Republicans are not racist, but almost all racists are Republican.

Baseless accusations are difficult to defend, aren't they?

I get confused at times. Am I a racist or a culturist?

I call BS Boots. I have met quite a number of dems that are true blue racist! Some white, some black.

As for the "he's not one of us" comment, IMO he isn't! Why you ask? Look at who gave him his start. Also, do as he said and judge him by who he surrounded himself with and then look at their pasts. Is that an average law abiding American? Do we need that kind making policy and pushing for laws to govern us? Why has he sealed everything about himself? Take an honest look at things and tell me he is the same as Joe Citizen.......

Then move on to Congress and look at both sides of the isle. Are they like the average Joe and Jane Citizen? NO! 99% of DC are dirty/elitist and they need to get the message to serve Joe and Jane Citizen honestly or get out of town and let someone who will, in their seats.

Does anybody really take Carter seriously? I expect more clarity and sound logic from Michael Moore. If Carter speaks out against Joe Wilson I'm thinking Joe Wilson is helped by it.

Brian Williams almost tripped and fell trying to get out the front door of NBC to interview Jimmy Peanut. Peanut Head better stick to building houses for the Welfare Queens in the Black Community. Doesn't he understand that every time he opens his mouth trying to help the democrats he is actually helping the republicans?
