OK, I finally read Bills statements in it's entirety, and reading the pretext he was not being racist. He was actually dispelling some stereotypes that many white Americans have!!

Even after the Juan Williams “idiotat CNN” rebuke, CNN still pressed on about Bill O’Reilly’s race remarks, and a guest on Wednesday’s “Newsroom” took the language being used against O’Reilly and Williams to new lows. Syracuse University professor and blogger Boyce Watkins appeared on the CNN program, and compared O’Reilly to a murderous movie villain and to Iranian president Ahmadinejad. “If the villain in a movie comes up and says, ‘I love you very much,’ that usually means he wants to kill you. The fact is that Bill O’Reilly is a guy who has made a career demeaning, degrading, and devaluing every black institution he can get his hands on.... You know, he’s about like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, when it comes to making ridiculous assertions and waiting for people to respond.”

After his villain/Ahmadinejad comparison, Watkins blasted NPR host and Fox News contributor Juan Williams for coming to O’Reilly’s defense. O’Reilly’s race comments had come from an hour of his radio program that involved a segment with Williams. “Juan Williams sitting there, is sort of the ‘Happy Negro’ agreeing with Bill O’Reilly, doesn’t impress me at all. A man cannot walk into your home and congratulate your mother for not being a prostitute and not expect you to be offended.”

The most offensive thing is what was said about Juan Williams, which has written some good stuff about what O'R was talking about.

All the MSM jumped on this and never gave the real story or context. Matt Lauer is the only one that stated media matters was leftwing and took them to task.


bought most havent read what happened they just jumped on it, especially the MSM for parroting media matters. That is what journalism has come to....and you wont see any retractions.

No, they won't retract because some of the fraud stuck to those who look no further, and that was the point in the first place.

I have listened to Jaun Williams talk about this issue many times now. I watched the show last night with O'Reilly and Williams. I also listened to the radio show.

No I am not hooked on O'Reilly, I just knew that it was going to blow up.

Sad when they say things about people with no regard to who will get hurt. Only to slap O'Reilly . Juan Williams is a very nice man. Sad they called him the names they did.

This will slap the lefties in the mouth many times in the future. That I am positive of.

You see, this is the exact type of corruption in the main media that O'Reilly talks about every night on his show. You have a lot of journalists getting talking points or half truth from smear sights such as mediamatters.org. They should do their own reporting and stick to the facts.

I like O'Reilly and Williams, they do good reporting and are good journalists, they don't deserve this crap.

There was nothing racial in the discussion betwen Juan and Bill. certain people will believe it was racial for the simple fact that they dont like Bill, Hate Bush and everything else that conflicts with their view of the world.

It does go to show that my comments are right, the only ones who saw racism are those who do not like OReilly, it has nothing to do with racist comments, it is only hate towards an individual and using any excuse possible to express it, =right or wrong.

I watched O'reily fri and he had a black caller that called in. Oreily actually said his words made him want to cry (happy tears). The guy, said that he has many supporters(black) where he lives and that they knew he wasn't being racist. He went on to say that 'we are behind you' etc etc.

Let's say he DID make that statement without any pretext. The statements would be more naive, or misguided than racist. At least he acknowledged that blacks have probably experienced racism at least once in their lives, not many white people believe that blacks(some) still experience predjudice in this day and age. Not to say whites haven't...
