I am looking at Gov Huckabee. Spiritually grounded. Knows how to get along and run a large organization. Big plus is he is a spend thrift.

McCain - 41, Thompson - 37, Hunter - 37

The only problem with that is that McCain has no chance of making it through the primaries, Thompson doesn't seem to want it bad enough, and Hunter doesn't have enough money to be noticed.

Paul, Tancredo, and Biden. In that order. But, I know that this is only a preference relative to today. I am quite sure that things will get interesting this autumn and through to next spring. It will be quite interesting, that is for sure.

Cris Dodd (33) and thats OK as far as it goes.

But it seems the really important issues are not adressed in this quiz at all.
  • The growth of corporatism and lobbyism.
  • The acceptance of untruth and terrorist tactics as political tools.
  • The polarisation of political debate.

    regards JakobA

You know, I just need to dig more in order to see Fred as a top contender in my view. He came very late and he has had a very dynamic and varied career. So, he is one of those candidates that you just look at his career and go "well, where in the heck do I start with this one"? But, we have a little more than a year to really get into the nitty gritty. So, while I have my favorites, I am keeping my options open to that shining light at the end of the grassy field. Because, I believe that is what it is really going to take to get the job at hand done and in our wake.

IMHO We need a good strong, pro-America first conservative president... I think Fred fits the bill but let me know if you find a better candidate and why, it would be good to know.

As far as Fred coming in late we have 14 months till the election. I think it started too early, it started December 2004. I think it is foolish to spend that much money so far out. The ones who were elected to represent their states should have been fulfilling their duties and not running for office these last 3 years.

That being said I like Thompson and McCaine.

There are rules. They must make expenditures if their funds get too wide. That is why it started when it did. These candidates just have far too much money. This is fast becoming the highest grossing election ever. Funny, isn't it. That the presidential candidacy is almost akin to the feature films of today. Almost surreal, in a way. Gotta love the power of the power of money. It's the new water, I hear.

But, Fred was a lobbyist. That is the real problem that I have with him. Well, that and the fact that he is an actor. I never worked with him, but I have worked with a few people that have and I am not impressed. But, people do like to talk. That much I know. So, I will register as a Republican this time around. I will wait and see what Fred does. If he somehow pulls ahead of my other candidates, then I may consider him. But, he just does not have a current history that I can really look at. The top candidates on my list have been consistent. Their careers and voting practices have been completely in line with their current stances. And, what they say is in line with what they have been saying for many years (decades for some). So, I will let it ride and see how Fred does.

Like I said before, this election should be interesting. But, I swear to chit that if there is a vote-count problem on this one I will raise all hell. If that happens, then I will lose all confidence in our system and will ultimately become a real thorn in the new presidents side.

Thompson was a lawyer and special prosecutor long before he became an actor (which was a fluke deal when the producer couldn't find anyone forceful enough to play Thompson in the real life story of his exposure of the corruption of Tennessee Democratic Governor Ray Blanton. He was a two term Senator who followed up on his promise of terms limits. Check him out on Fred08

Trust me, I have. But, his own website and it's candidacy splendor are not what I seek. I need to see how he reacts in a dynamic environment. I know that he WAS a Senator and a Lawyer(chills down my spine). But, I must see him in the social dynamic. I really, really am itching to see if he is acting when he speaks. A little Meisner, I imagine. But, I guess the masses wouldn't know it if they saw it. It would be straight from the heart. Right?

He was a straight and dead hit on "Hunt for Red October", he was perfect in "Die Hard II" and he was excellent in "Cape Fear", amongst others. But, he just hasn't shown me anything of real substance. He has not really put himself out there. A smart move, IMO. But, sooner or later he has to speak in a group dynamic. That is what I wait for. Things that are not scripted and true BS. If that even makes sense. Wink

I saw her SM and I must say that she is hot as all heck in person as well as on the screen. I said "hi" and she said "hey". That just about sums up my Elisha moment. Yep, all wrapped up.

She is extremely short. I would say around 5'3" or so. Maybe even shorter. But, she has a great body on that little frame.

I must say, there are so many people that you can meet at the 3rd Street Promenade. It really is a free for all when it comes to meeting famous people. It all happens right around 1900. Just hit the Promenade and I guarantee that you will see at least one recognizable person.

Man, I really miss Santa Monica. I wish I held onto that house.

    Thompson
    Hunter
    McCain

In that order, but I really wouldn't vote for John McCain unless he was running against any Democrat running today. I don't know enough about Duncan Hunter but I will do some research.

Fred Thompson has my vote, a Reagan=style conservative, smaller Government, military supporting, Pro=America Republican.

Perot and Stockdale will again prevail!

    What? (voices in the background)

What do you mean they aren't running? (more voices in the background. And in the distance, a dog barks.)

    Oh, sorry,

    Thompson, Fred, one each.
    McCain, John, one each.

    ISSUED.
