Florida again gets to determine the fate of the next election? Is this fair and in keeping with the Constitution? I say screw Florida, their vote does not count.
Thoughts? |

That ladies and gentlemen? Is what is affectionately known as the "Finagle Factor."
Democrats are master of it. You should know that by now. |

I got so hanging chads for them. I say we over-throw the Cuban administration, then cede the state to them. Good riddance.

All the states knew the rules about primaries and were warned that if they continued monkeying with the dates, their delegates would not be accepted at the convention.
Florida and Michigan chose to ignore the warnings and did it anyhow. They made their bed, now let them lie in it. But...there's a fly in the Florida ointment. The primary date was changed, not by the Democrats, but by the Republican-controlled Legislature. Is it fair to punish Florida Democrats for the actions of the Republicans? You can be sure of one thing: If Hillary was leading in the delegate count, this would not be an issue. She's grasping at the last straw to keep her failing campaign alive and may get her way, to the ruination of America. It seems to me that the only fair way to settle this is to seat all the Michigan and Florida delegates, but require a 50/50 split in their allegience to either Obama or Hillary. That way, the states regain their seats, but neither candidate gets an advantage from it. |

I think you may misunderstand what this is all about. It's not about votes in the general election, but at the Democratic Party convention. There won't be any Republican's there, except for spies. |

But his way at least a bunch of do-nothings and local palm-greasers get to go to the big city and wear funny hats. Come on, where's your sense of fun? Besides, the FL and MI delegates should be there in case the vote goes into overtime. You know that look a woman gets when she wants sex? Neither do I. |

The Democrats.....aren't being too democratic. It really doesn't matter much who McCain runs against....because he can beat either one of them. |

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engine intakes. |
There's a decent idea. After all, the pres election right now is a crap shoot, just make all election by slot machine; pay the poll tax to get the spin and see who comes up. |

20 day suspension for repeated thread disruption and calling out Moderators. 27 Dec 08 Gypsysnipe |
That is because they were trained on the old machines when you pulled the lever and voted a strait ticket. I remember how the Democrats howled when it was outlawed here in Illinois about 15 or 20 years ago forcing voters to actually having to read the ballot and choose a candidate. They screamed and stomped their feet about how it would inconvenience the voters. You know what! They sounded just like that when Indiana required voters to show an ID. Imagine that. |
