The way you ramble on around here about running and hiding, I highly doubt you are tough as this post makes you out to be!

Well sorry you feel that way

I suppose wadding ashore like a sandbag is more dangerous than parachutting into 15 degree weather at 0200 Wink

Most definitely.... but we could always find out, just PM me! Beer

The "middle" is where America went, after hollywood brainwashed the masses into believing that politics and religion were not to be discussed.

The middle are those that compromise themselves out of freedom.

The elites would love for everyone to be in the middle. No passion for the Constitution will ever come out of the middle.

Power groups use the extremes to get a hold on an agenda they have for more power. When you can convine america there is a problem, they conveniently will bring you a solution.

It is the role of media editors to focus on the extremes to brainwash the masses into believing many more problems need solving by the elites.

Stay out of the middle, when your role is gone neither side will have a place for you.

God Bless America!

I nod with approving admiration of your post.

I just got my economic stimulus check. I never liked the idea of these things, these rebates and the like that have popped up in the last eight years. These and the two Border Patrol agents imprisoned in Texas are the two gripes I harbor with the CinC.

With the first rebate I felt as if my vote was being bargained for. With this? Well this feels just like "Bread and Circuses". It feels like we're repeating ignored history.

Send it to the troops.... We can use it!.... since you think its so bad!

Okay, Bubba, gotcha.

As I had said once before, the problem lies in the perception by Average American Joe Sixpack. What he sees and understands is what shapes his attitude. The non-stop barrage by the left of the evils of conservative America has served to skew his view remendously. What barrage? The barrage from Hollywood. I went to see Ben Stein's movie "Expelled" and was turned away. I was told that, even though the movie times were still posted on the Internet and that it said it was still showing, and it was still posted on the Marquee, the toadie at the ticket counter said, "we had to take it (the movie) down but have not been able to take it off the marquee.

Average American Joe Sixpack, might just leave it at that. I did not. I called them the next day and asked if it was politically motivated. The reply was that there were two new digital projectors being installed and they only had one up and running. They had to make a decision about whether to show Expelled or Iron Man. They went with Iron Man, which was a smash at the box office.

The bottom line is that I did not let it rest. I got the answer I needed rather than just getting pissed off about it. I will go see it when I can. But my perception is what I have.

The issue of the NG in New Orleans is relevant to this topic because of the perception.

"Gov. Kathleen Blanco sent in the National Guard at the mayor's request after a bloody weekend in which six people were killed."

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200294,00.html

Perception!

So many people have demonized the administration over this, even blaming the Army for taking guns away from the citizens there. How wrong those people are. Perception!

I do not agree with the way Nagins and Blanco handled the situation when there was still time to act. But, in a true "crisis management" fashion, I believe it was handled appropriately. The city was not fit to live in after Katrina and all reasonable people would have already been gone. Who would be left behind to guard an acre of water?

That is what Average American Joe Sixpack sees.

OFF TOPIC -

GOOD FORTUNE TO YOU , OUTLAWS. I NEVER WAS ABLE TO GET INTO SCOUTING, BUT I DO KNOW THAT IT'S A GOOD THING. MY YOUNGEST BROTHER IS A SCOUTMASTER AND HE HAS 3 BOYS IN SCOUTS. MAYBE I'LL BE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER SOON.

BACK ON TOPIC -

Even though I know (slightly) what this thread is about, I'm not so sure that there IS an "average Joe American" except the part where big government doesn't dictate our lives, but stops the big industries, (such as gas/electric/water/other "required" utilities, and gas/diesel fuel, etc), from holding the people hostage for rate increases, when they refuse to repair/replace old equipment with their profits....like any small buisness must do to survive.

These are my opinions. Yours may differ.
