If this comes off as planned, How can Obama possibly ignore addressing it as he has been after all his campaign promises. Promises of transparent government and citizen participation

June 25: Nationwide Protests Demand Accountability

Tens of thousands of people have sent letters calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor, and for the indictment and prosecution of Bush-era officials.

On this Thursday, June 25, the movement for prosecution and accountability will hold coordinated demonstrations in cities around the country, including Washington, D.C.; San Francisco, CA; Pasadena, CA; Thousand Oaks, CA; Boston, MA; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Honolulu, HI; Tampa, FL; Philadelphia, PA; and Anchorage, AK. More than 40 organizations are working together for these actions.

In Washington, D.C., the demonstration will begin at John Marshall Park (501 Pennsylvania Ave. NW) at 11:00 a.m. with a rally followed by a march to the Justice Department. Among the speakers at the D.C. rally will be constitutional rights lawyer Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, co-founder of the Partnership for Civil Justice, speaking on behalf of IndictBushNow.org.

Volunteers and organizers are working to build the demonstrations, making placards, handing out leaflets, calling the media and carrying out many other tasks. People are traveling long distances to make their voices heard.

People all over the country are saying loud and clear: No One Is Above the Law! Join us today.

I ain't no fan of The Decider...not much on defending his legacy either...

This Liberal won't be attending.

"No One Is Above the Law! Join us today."

You know this is getting really old. Where was the outrage from the left when Bill lied under oath? How about the outrage with the Supreme Court extending BEYOND their constitutional duties? What about Congress and all it's many problems?

Hell, let's just get rid of EVERYONE! start all over! There's an idea for ya...

More folks were involved in the Tea Party, yet this will probably get MORE coverage because it goes along with their agenda.

Are you kidding? The right wings wanted his head on a stick! I would rather have the President get a BJ in office rather than send thousands of people to die for no reason.

Constitutional law for starters on more than one occasion, international law, and failing to investigate properly the most tragic attack in America's history Where even now the original commissioners of that commitee are calling for a new complete investigation. For all we know they could be complicit or had prior knowledge.
An indictment is not a conviction it's accountability for what youve been accused of.

And yes it is way overdue and old as one poster commented, But so is the liberty incident, and the controversial JFK assasination, along with the Gulf of tonkin attack. So are we expected to just forget about it? When does it end? President Obama campaigned on open government and an end to secret Goverment now lets see if he delivers.

You left out the Chicago Fire, the eruption of Krakatoa, the Johhnstown Flood and don't forget the government suppression involved in the Whisky Rebellion Roll Eyes

Exactly. It will get 10 times the press and everything will be bought and paid for --- not a grass roots movement.

How about the recent firing of the IG's? The policy to protect these men was signed into place by Senetor Obama and now it's broken by that very man. No one is above the law.

Whether these protests happen ... or not ... Obama is now privy to the secrets of government ... and, in the words of Paul Harvey, now knows the "rest of the story" ... that which you and I do not. It is one thing to be on the side-lines ... quite another to be in the game.

You and I are on the sidelines ... as was Obama. He is now in the game ... we (and these flatulent protestors) are not.

Do I deny the Government knew the attacks were coming and stood idly by? Yes I do

Do I deny the Constitution was Violated by the action in Iraq? Yes I do

Sorry, I was paying attention to the little news sources like CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, Yahoo. I guess I will have to give in to the peer pressure and start checking the big names in news.

I'm sorry for mocking you about the lack of massive protests. It was a misunderstanding. When you said June 25 I assumed you meant this year. I should know better than assume things. So which year are these protests planned for?
