Black national anthem' stirs controversy for city DENVER - Mayor John Hickenlooper's (D) annual State of the City address may get more attention for what wasn't included than what was. At the start of the event Tuesday morning, City Council President Michael Han**** introduced singer Rene Marie to perform the national anthem. Instead, she performed the song "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing," which is also known as the "black national anthem." Who could support such garbage and total disrespect??? It would seem the Dems, because they now have a history of supporting people who are totally un-American by their actions, such as this incident, and another refusing to show respect during the National Anthem (Obama), the shoe seems to fit...Now I am quite sure that not all Dems support these clowns and their actions, but the time has come to reign in your people's before things get any uglier than they already are. . .America first, or go somewhere else!!! |

The Black National anthem???  Are you freaking joking or what? I didn't know that the American National Anthem that was written by Francis Scott Key was considered as a white National Anthem.. Why doesn't that version work for black Americans as well? |

Elesso seems to only complain when it's a white person doing it. So I doubt we will hear anything from Elesso. Unless of course Elesso starts calling us racist for being disgusted with this un-american act. |

Since the article states that she has been "singing professionally for about 10 Years," I think it can be safely said that she was "under contract" to perform to the specs demanded by the person contracting for the service. I say take her to court and sue her for breach of contract, but not for money, but for a pubic, widely broadcast apology and community service. Since she has said she will not apologize, a court needs to direct her to make the apology.
Then "black ball" her for future gigs. Make that "you'll never work in this town again" a reality. |

Just look at the actions of those present there, to include the applaud at the end (some totally supported the disrespect presented). . .It is a real and very scary shocker!!! |

Where is the Dem response to this thread, after all, it was a public (city) event put on by the Dems??? Let's hear it, that you thought it was great and totally justified, you know free speech and all!!!
My guess is those who support this kind of crap are to chicken to say anything at all in favor of it here, but around their other Liberal friends they are probably praising this lady and saying she has TRUE courage and is a TRUE patriot!!! |
