You 're the runner-in-chief. Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the U.S.S. Cole and the First Trade Center Bombing and Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001. John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You've accused our military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq . You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam . You're a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were for, before you were against it. John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win militarily in Iraq . You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You're a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You're not a Marine, sir. You wouldn't amount to a good pimple on a real Marine's butt. You're a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John. Dick Durbin, you accused our soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run. Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqi's torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you. If you truly supported our troops, you'd show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there...... Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, the Holly wood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam: Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers, that we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers - the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers - cause to think that we'll run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours after they have gained both strength and momentum. American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer. You are America's 'AXIS OF IDIOTS.' Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don't ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers home as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies. Yes, I'm questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I'm also questioning why you're stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don't deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it. No, Mr. President, you don't get off the hook, either. Our country has two enemies: Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It's your obligation to support them by confronting these AXIS OF IDIOTS. America must hear it from you that these self-centered people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger, please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need for you to do it now. |

Ya know what is hilarious about this thread? If anyone posts a classic counterpoint to it, this area of the forum being all about that sort of thing, they would be warned, suspended or banned by the moderators for failure to adhere to the "read and heed."

We "the people" are caught dead center between warring parties. As I see it the only difference these days between us and the rest of the world is that we have not gone totally socialists. My old avatar was the monitor of friend Computer from the Westend game Paranoia. In that game, they made the strategic point of some of the many things one could do to undermine the abilities of your teammates and give yourself the full advantage, while, hopefully, getting your teammates executed in the process. Paranoia was always about dirty-pool (it was the main goal of the game). This insipid no CinC bashing rule reminds me of one of those strategies. It provides one side of the Point complete carte blanc while denying the Counter much of any response at all, at least not many that won't get him either summarily executed or thrown glaringly under the suspicious "on warning" eye of "Friend Computer, it is my utmost privilege to gleefully report to you - without fear of contradiction..." The policy hasn't prevented me saying exactely what I want to say. Expletives never add to an argument anyway Taking a look at current events, the author of the piece is a young man who has entered the world of drug experimentation. Is the piece true? If so the ONLY explanation is planned and commited treason. Can't be for political gain. An old man like Murtha, in his seventies, had nothing to gain by taking his positions on redeploying to Afghanistan. Is it that he did this to gain votes? Since he routinely got 75 percent of the votes in his district that doesn't seem posibile. Perhaps while he was in the Marines he converted to Islam? As we know the liberal media would keep this a secret, since they too are paid by Al Qaeda. So, we can conclude that he's been PAID by Al Qaeda to redeploy to Afghanbistan, where things are going so well, and nothing additional is needed. In fact, the media is manufacturing stories of bad news from Afghanistan to try to make Mr. Bush look foolish. After all, no competent President would have pulled our resources from Afghanistan to go to Iraq without making sure the place was secure. Since Mr. Bush when asked what mistakes he's made, admitted reluctantly, that he's made None. Since he's made no mistakes, obviously the opposition consists of traitors and their dupes (you know, people like yourself...  )And notice the recent media stories about Maliki signing agreements with Iran, from everything to getting their troops trained there, to promising never to let Iraq be used to attack Iran. These stories are clearly fabrications. The power of the Al Qaeda controlled liberal media always astounds me. Even NewsMax has sold out by reporting all these fictitious stories. Even today Mr. Bush denounced Iran as the potential source of all evil in the world. (Which maked the liberal lies about Maliki so hard to swallow.) Clearly we need a leader who will stop ***** footing around, get rid of the Constitution, that quaint relic of a peaceful era, and get serious not just about Al Qaeda, but people like Murtha, yourself, and perhaps even me... Certainly the LAST thing we need is to discuss the issues and alternatives. Anyone who advocates that advocates Surrender. You left out these parts: Ronald Reagan, you cut and run from Beirut without retaliating against Hezbollah after our Marines were murdered there. You then sold missiles and F-14 parts and sent a chocolate cake to Ayatollah Khomeini, the sponsor of Hezbollah and the leader of the hostage crisis. You also lent Saddam billions of dollars and provided him intelligence so he could start wars and murder his own people. You did nothing after Iraq shot a missile at the USS Stark. You promoted extremist Islam and gave millions in funding to jihadis. George H. W. Bush, you continued lending billions to Saddam Hussein and helping his regime. You allowed him to build up his forces and attack Kuwait. You gave money to and asylum in the USA to Sheik Abdul Rahman for his services to the Islamic extremists you were cultivating in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The "blind sheik" eventually continued his activities in the USA, where he planned the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. George W. Bush: you presided over the most disasterous decline in US power in history. You have abused the troops by not building up their numbers, thereby forcing them to do multiple tours in the war zones. Your foolish statements and policies have destroyed America's reputation in the world and made our enemies stronger. Scooter Libby, Karl Rove: You disclosed the name of a covert CIA officer who was working on nuclear proliferation issues. You endangered and possibly caused the death of agents who she worked with once her identity was revealed. Donald Rumsfeld: your idiotic war on the Army caused us to not have the troops necessary to impose order on Iraq. Your arrogant statements also made the US many enemies. |

No, the no CIC bashing rule came about in 2003 or 4. People were referring to Bush as shrub and other less pleasant things; and the ultra-right moderator team at the time didn't like that. They couldn't say "no bashing THIS president" and continue to bash Clinton without the blatant hypocrisy destroying the site, so they came up with no bashing a sitting president. |

I stand corrected about the rule. However as this is a military site it does seem to be the height of disrespect to bash the CinC. Personal opinions of the President are certainly anyone's right but to vent the sometimes cruel and downright treasonous opinions some post is inappropiate at the least. Just my opinion.

As I am no longer in the military, he is no longer my CinC but rather a public servant who has earned my scorn for not fulfilling the requirements of the job in a competent and forthright manner.
Though I will honor the rules of this site, in real life I will call him any damn thing I want. |
