Vietnam Wall Defaced

This weekend, the anti-war crowd did what Gathering of Eagles has dedicated itself to preventing:

They damaged one of our memorials.


Friday night, someone squirted an oil/petroleum-based substance on the Vietnam Wall. As a result, the wall absorbed the substance and obliterated some of the heroes’ names inscribed at the wall.

It’s no coincidence that it was done the weekend before thousands of Eagles arrive to lobby Congress and the anti-American anarchists from ANSWER.

This is why we exist. This is why we fight, why we will not submit to the anti-American, anti-military agenda of the moonbat defeatists.

We need you in D.C. this weekend.

This is so sad. Some of the names on The Wall are names of liberals too. So these creeps violate their own in the name of their hateful cause.

Kids defaced the headstones of the graves of some military members a couple years back here in Ohio. They did it in a conservative rural area, which was their downfall. All were sentenced to a juvinile facility until their 18th birthdays. One was 13 years old. It was the most the judge could impose, and he did. We need to ship that judge to D.C. when they find the SOBs and have HIM give out the sentence.

Liberal or Conservative, who ever did it should have a bullet to the head.

How many names defaced? Multiply that number by three--that's how many ANSWER types need to end up in the ICU....

Fricking libs wouldn't admit to anything if it was right in front of them.Open your fricking red eyes if you can't see the damage read the fricking captions like below!!! Get some glasses.

Because of the reflective nature of The Wall, Mrs. Trooprally had a tough time capturing the extent of the damage. Mr. Trooprally said that the oily substance has discolored the shiny stone, but that it has been absorbed into the more porous area where the names are etched into The Wall.

If you look (closely) at the bottom part of the wall, you can see where something that looks like water or possibly salad oil was sprayed on the names causing them to be difficult to read in the photograph.

Whatever the substance is... it probably isn't permanent, it looks like it could be easily removed, probably with nothing more abrasive than soap and water (assuming it's an oil).

Well... what about the coincidence that it was done on the weekend because that's when the majority of people tour D.C.? I'm also having difficulty understanding how it is automatically assumed that whoever did this is a crazed liberal - what about a crazed messy eater? Considering how low the "damage" is, does this not look like something that might have been done accidentally by a child? Perhaps a kid in a stroller that got hold of his mommy's bottle of baby oil and went on a terrorist rampage?

I also noticed that, in the very first photograph, the names are not affected at all, only the reflective part of the marble was hit at the very bottom.

This sure doesn't seem like deliberate vandalism. And, maybe it's just because I'm a dad, but my gut feeling is still telling me that this looks like the work of a crazed liberal toddler!
