Why is it that a white person voting for Mccain and not Obama is racist but a black (I don't buy into the PC hyphenated American thing) person voting for Obama is not just as racist? It's a BULL**** double standard and I'm OVER IT!!!!
Just to be clear ...My not voting for Obama has NOTHING to do with race and EVERYTHING to do with him being patently UNQUALIFIED to lead our Nation through one of the most crucial times in our Nation's gloriuos history....
So hammer away race baiters....I'm ready.

Why would one be racist for supporting the candidate they choose??? Confused

Elections are not about race, but about who America feels will lead her the best!!! Wink

COMMENT: Easy ... I have not heard anyone on here attributing racism as any factor for voting for either candidate. If you're voting for perceived qualifications -- or apparently the lack of them in your view -- then that's okay... no problems from anyone on this site.

If you want to debate the relative merits of the qualifications of either candidate on here, give a go -- everyone enjoys debating here.

Really?? People actually called you a racist because you told them you were voting for McCain. Hard to believe, but interesting nonetheless.

I was asking a simple question about a pervasive sentiment here in Hawaii...And as usual, you chime in with a completely irrelevant example of your personal Bush Derangement Syndrome....Well, at least you didn't bring up your favorite, Larry Craig....So I guess in some SMALL WAY you're making progress.....

Totally brah...I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this.....It seems that the ones most willing to play the race card seem to come from the left side of the spectrum....Funny isn't it? The Demunists are SUPPOSED to be the party of acceptance and tolerance....Until you disagree with them......

You and Sean Hannity may be the only people experiencing this. Most people realize that a candidate is evaluated on his/her positions.

Good luck and stay safe. Those lefties may attempt to get a little more persuasive in thier zeal to get Obama elected.

As long as that persuasive zeal does not resort to breaking windows, pouring gas on people's lawns, defacing election signs, and other forms of destruction of property, or harm on others like during the last election (please do not ask for links, since it is common knowledge that this kind of dirty politics happened), then they are free to do what they can to try to persuade the vote!!!
