Yeah, it's practically crashing down around their heads in Canada.
The cost of their healthcare is a whopping 10% of their gross domestic product (ouch). And Canada ranks a mere 30th among all nations by the World Health Organization for their healthcare (the WHO rated their health service on overall performance - distribution over services, level of responsiveness, fairness of financial contribution, etc).
Thank God we live in a country that's only ranked 37th by the same system and that spends what is now approaching 18% of our GDP on healthcare. I'm also thankful I live in a country with inferior health outcomes compared to Canada (Canadians live longer, live healthier and have a lower infant mortality rate).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyCQ6vKqgnUAnd - get this - as far as what Canada spends compared to the U.S... they're the worst. In every
OTHER country with Universal Health Care, the savings are even greater as they all spend less of their GDP than even Canada does.
Yep... I sure feel sorry for those lousy Canadians who can walk into a doctor’s office whenever they want, are spending almost half as much while getting better treatment than any American is.
