We will all pay dearly for this administration's runaway budget deficit...if not now, then soon. Further proof that presidential term limits are a GOOD thing. |

You're being duped by propaganda.
"they" don't want you to know that the federal reserve created the situation that Bush was able to utilize. Bush and greenspan are both members of the CFR. They have been and always will be in sync with each other, just like the rest of the globalists. To keep us "confused" they all play their roles, but behind the scenes they congradualte each othe ron a job well done. There is not a dimes worth of difference betweenn dems and republicans. |

Further proof that republicans should never be in charge of running the nation. Let them run a pig roast but nothing more.
Republicans have had only 3 good presidents that I can think of; Lincoln, Teddy and Eisenhower. The country has had to suffer alot for the sake of those 3. |

I think Greenspan's biggest complaint, the one that carries over into all areas of the Bush Administration, is the fact that this Administration seems to value loyalty and political capital more than dissent and honest debate.
It is a leadership style that promotes groupthink. From Bloomberg: "Greenspan said he never became part of Bush's inner circle, in which dissent from staff like former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill wasn't encouraged. ``Paul's outspokenness put him at odds with the administration, which emphasized loyalty and staying on message.'' The White House just wanted a spokesman for its economic policies, he said. " And from the Wall Street Journal: "Mr. Greenspan writes that when President Bush chose Dick Cheney as vice president and Paul O'Neill as treasury secretary -- both colleagues from the Gerald Ford administration, during which Mr. Greenspan was chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers -- he "indulged in a bit of fantasy" that this would be the government that would have resulted if Mr. Ford hadn't lost to Jimmy Carter in 1976. But Mr. Greenspan discovered that in the Bush White House, the "political operation was far more dominant" than in Mr. Ford's. "Little value was placed on rigorous economic policy debate or the weighing of long-term consequences," he writes." I think Bush is a good man, but this criticism has been voiced by several from his inner circle and I can't help but wonder how much better off America and his administration would have been if this closed restrictive intellectual bubble had a different atmosphere that embraced varied internal debate - ala the Brandeis Briefs procedure that Bush sadly eliminated. republicans would be funny if it was not for the facts that their dumb assss decisions (to lazy to verify intelligence reports) result in the killing of thousands of Americans and fast tracking the nation towards bankruptcy.

Those of you that think Bush walks on water should take a close hard look at his record as governor of Texas where he took office with several billion in surplus and when he left office the state was three times that amount in debt. I still can’t believe this man was elected president … not just once but twice.
As for Alan Greenspan, one thing you can say about him is that he knows perhaps better than anyone how to count beans. |

Ah but that is where republicans will blame the Democratic party. It will be all there fault. What was the name of the Democratic governor in Texas before busy bush took office there? Anyway it will be all her fault according to reppublicans. |

Partisan politics aside, this administration took office with a record surplus and turned it into a record deficit that our great-grandchildren will be paying off.
We have such a trade imbalance and are so indebted to China today that our economy suffers and will continue to suffer for years to come and threatens to unseat the US as the dominate global economic power. |

Centralizing power in washington and handing our wealth over to private bankers created the charade of power.
All I hear from you all, is dems suck - republicans suck. Ya'll need to wake up and realize they are playing you, so you never understand who is to blame. "The creature from jeckyll island" is the federal reserve. (G. Edward Griffen) I suggest you read it. What you don't know about this beast will kill you. They divide us to conquer us. It is a timeless strategy used against all ignorant civilizations. |

I never knew any president had the ability to spend funds. Thought Congress did that.

Anything out of Greenspan's mouth is either subterfuge or an outright lie. As is the crap spewed by his 4 buddies who own the largest banking interests.

Say what you want about Greenspan, but he was Fed chairman through 6 presidents. All things considered, their opinions of him far outweigh ours. I think I'll read this book.

We did have a problem with big government spending Republicans. We didn't re-elect them did we. Bet you think it was that mandate crap you talk about but never happened in reality. Almost none of the Dems that campaigned in 06 ran on the platforms they now claimed they ran on.
As for Mr. Greenspan, well it looks like they gave him his retirement papers just in time. Great economy, (may be slowing or not), super low unemployment, defect being cut in half, more money rolling in from the tax cuts that Dems want to strangle. Our dollar is running behind the Euro but that only makes our goods and services more attractive and sales are up. And who ever stated that he has only 3 good Republican presidents, thats still better than the one half way decent Democratic president, JFK, who if was running today would have to run as a Republican. |

Some of my best friends have been Democrats. I can only think you to be a blatant liar of a fool. I have some Republican friends as well. They would think you to be a fool as well when you make such blanket insults. Come to think of it I have known two folks who came to be convicted of child molestation. Both were Republican. Are you Republican? 100% of child molesters that I have met were Republican. Define patriot. |

Stupid question. Try a little experiment. pick several Blue counties and several Red counties at random and check the number of sex criminals per population. All things being even it should be close, But it's not, hmmmm. |

I don't know about counties, but I was able to look up sexual assault and rape statistics by states. Guess what... 19 of the top 25 states with the highest rates of rape per capita were "red states". source I was also able to look up murder crime statistics. Turns out that when looking at murder per capita stats, again... 19 of the top 25 states were "red states". All things being even it should be close, But it's not, hmmmm. |

Stupid question or stupid response? Do your own experiment and tell me how it turns out. Your little experiment seems to have stupid base right out the gate. |

oh, brother! only here could we turn a completely pointless partisan debate on money into a completely pointless partisan dissertation on child molestation in less than a page.
what it really comes down to is that politicians spend too damned much money. period. they all need to cut that s*** out. the government's too damned big and spends too damned much...regardless of who's in the "big chair." |
