You make judgments every day. This seems to explain it pretty well... "Judge not, that ye be not judged. The term judge is used in more than one sense, but Christ's meaning is plain. (1) He does not prohibit the civil judgment of the courts upon evil doers, for this is approved throughout the whole Bible. (2) He does not prohibit the judgment of the church, through its officers, upon those who walk disorderly, for both he and the apostles have enjoined this. (3) He does not forbid those private judgments that we are compelled to form the wrong-doers, for he himself tell us that we are to judge men by their fruits. (See Mt 7:15-20.) What he designs to prohibit is rash, uncharitable judgments, a fault-finding spirit, a disposition to condemn without examination of charges." *http://bible.cc/matthew/7-1.htm "They love our milk and honey but they preach about some other way of living When you’re running down my country, Hoss you’re walking on the fighting side of me" - - Merle Haggard |

You said, and I quote; "China has NOT figured that out" regarding pollution in their country and I pointed out that you were, once again, wrong and China IS waking up to the reality of pollution in their country. Now you ask about where we are "behind China" and I was pretty clear about that, but I will post it again so you can't misconstrue or quote me out of context AGAIN. "do we want to be behind China in the production and exporting of green technology? (Actually, I think we already ARE)" It turns out we aren't, but we will be soon. Incentives add shine to China solar drive http://www.reuters.com/article/GCA-GreenBusiness/idUSTRE55I18S20090619 Handful of players seen ruling the solar roost http://www.reuters.com/article/reutersEdge/idUSTRE5603SD20090701 Ignoring the ignorant is almost as fun as ridiculing the ridiculous. |

Point is...stick this in your pipe and smoke it. And yet you did not have the courage to answer my question "http://catholics-united.org/files/reducing-abortion-in-america.pdf "http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2008/01/17/number_of_abortions_lowest_in_decades/ "http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_women_have_an_abortion_each_year_in_america "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_the_United_States |

INCIDENCE OF ABORTION
• Nearly half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion.[1] Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.[2] • Forty percent of pregnancies among white women, 69% among blacks and 54% among Hispanics are unintended. • In 2005, 1.21 million abortions were performed, down from 1.31 million in 2000. From 1973 through 2005, more than 45 million legal abortions occurred.[2] CONTRACEPTIVE USE • Each year, about two percent of women aged 15-44 have an abortion; 47% of them have had at least one previous abortion.[3] Fifty-four percent of women who have abortions had used a contraceptive method (usually the condom or the pill) during the month they became pregnant. Among those women, 76% of pill users and 49% of condom users report having used their method inconsistently, while 13% of pill users and 14% of condom users report correct use.[9] • Forty-six percent of women who have abortions had not used a contraceptive method during the month they became pregnant. Of these women, 33% had perceived themselves to be at low risk for pregnancy, 32% had had concerns about contraceptive methods, 26% had had unexpected sex and 1% had been forced to have sex.[9] • Eight percent of women who have abortions have never used a method of birth control; nonuse is greatest among those who are young, poor, black, Hispanic or less educated.[9] • About half of unintended pregnancies occur among the 11% of women who are at risk for unintended pregnancy but are not using contraceptives. Most of these women have practiced contraception in the past.[1,10] http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/fb_induced_abortion.html You will never stop abortions by making abortion illegal. Women have been terminating unwanted pregnancies since the beginning of time and will continue to do so which is why abortion must remain legal and safe. The goal is to make it become RARE. Ignoring the ignorant is almost as fun as ridiculing the ridiculous. |

You said, and I quote: China may already be ahead of the U.S. Which is just about the most inaccurate thing you've ever said. |

When we fall behind China, we will have liberals and Obama to blame..maybe a bit of Bush and Clinton too.

Number of Americans Dying Each Day From Lack of Health Insurance
February 6, 2009, 2:37PM insured and Dying Because of It: Updating the Institute of Medicine Analysis on the Impact of Uninsurance on Mortality. This line of study began in 2002 by the Institute of Medicine (IOM). Their original estimate was that 18,000 Americans had died because they were uninsured in the year 2000. Subsequent studies using the IOM methodology combined with Census Bureau estimates of insurance coverage concluded that 137,000 people died from 2000 through 2006 which included 22,000 in 2006. A detailed explanation of the IOM methodology and how it is combined with Census Bureau statistics is presented on page 2 of the study mentioned above. http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/blogs/star_mason/2009/02/number-of-americans-dying-each.php (Link to article) http://www.urban.org/UploadedPDF/411588_uninsured_dying.pdf (Link to report) Ignoring the ignorant is almost as fun as ridiculing the ridiculous. |

Are you intentionally obtuse or is this a ridiculous game you play? Did even look at the links? I realize that FACTS are scary to you, but did you read where China will be taking over soon as the leader in the exporting of green technology? Of course you didn't, that isn't how you roll. Ignoring the ignorant is almost as fun as ridiculing the ridiculous. |

I am against abortion. My son was born when I was very young. Fortunately my family and her family were against abortion because at such a young age, I would not have had a say in the matter.
The thought of my son being aborted is horrifying. The thought that my grandchildren would never even have had a chance to be born, makes me completely against abortion. I am also against the government passing a law to make abortion illegal. A law against abortion would not stop abortion any more than the laws against drugs stops people from dealing and doing drugs. What such a law would do is expand the government’s powers over the citizens of the United States to a greater level than it is now. How can a conservative support such an expansion of government power? Council against abortion. Help disadvantaged children. Support education that prevents unwanted pregnancy. But please, do not support a law that would make abortion illegal. |
