Fort worth man shot & killed another man who was attacking a female donut shop owner. no charges to follow. I like texas gun laws myself, even though im currently a delawarean.

Ya'll think that situations like this one will play into the SC ruling on the 2A DC ban thats expected soon? if so, as a plus or minus?

I think cases like these strengthen the pro 2A arguement.

This is a good example of how to stop crime. We need more of this kind of action. All the law does is slap their hands and sends them out to commit more crime.

We have to be careful of vigilantism.

Innocent people not involved could also be hurt by such acts.

COMMENT: This won't factor into the Supreme Court ruling at all. The District is on very slippery footing in retaining their weapons' ban. The Court just isn't likely to uphold the ban because of the District's fruitless attempt to contain gang violence and the everpresent thuggery there. But, D.C. residents who will be able to protect themselves and their homes will likely have similar episodes until the street urchins get the message that they may be matched with an armed victim.

Wow. Abso****inglutely amazing! This was a good shooting. The perpetrator assaulted the female victim and was chasing her when the neighbor shot the perpetrator. This is a clear case of self-defense; and it can be strongly argued that the neighbor in all likelihood probably saved the woman's life. (Otherwise, why was the robber chasing after her?)

What amazes me is the bias in this news report. The reporter says that the man "opened fire," suggesting that he came out with guns blazing and could have recklessly endangered the lives of others. Seems to me that the neighbor carefully aimed. Anyone who's been in a firefight will tell you that once that adrenaline kicks in, you either use it to help control your aim or you shoot wildly. There's no in-between. The fact that this was a fatal shot tells me that the neighbor is a disciplined shooter. Then the reporter repeatedly says that no charges will be filed against the neighbor in a manner that suggests that this guy got away with murder. There's a difference between stating the fact that the police will not file charges and the voice inflection, facial expression that appears to suggest, "can you believe it? they're not going to charge this guy!"

The neighbor is a hero.

It's election year, the same as when the DC ban was passed.

They always move the goal post. Saying that the ban would stop DC's crime rate, when it didn't, they say it's because of guns coming across the border. Only politicians believe that words on paper(laws) stop crime. Obama agrees with the DC ban and Illinois has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, yet Chicago's mayor blames the gun makers for recent crime wave.

The only one who makes any sense is McCain: "Gun control is a proven failure in fighting crime. Law abiding citizens should not be asked to give up their rights because of criminals--criminals who ignore gun control laws anyway.

There are many stories that happen like this in TX everyday here in the US. Libs will never get it.

A detective in the video appears to be holding an AR-15 or shotgun, can't make it out. Don't know if it's the perps, or good guys. But you're right, good shot either way and dittos to the rest of your post.

There is no better way to fight crime than for the local citizens to show the criminals that their not going to put up with it.

Criminals support gun laws that unarm citizens 100% reason being if the citizens are unarmed then they have so much less to worry about when they so choose to rob, rape, or break into a home, the more citizens that blow their azzes away, the more these scum bags have to think long and hard before their next criminal act.

As for the Fort Worth Hero in question, all I can say it..

Applause GOOD SHOT! Applause

Remember to demand your local "vigilante" to STAND DOWN should you ever be in that woman's position... and that would preclude your own "vigilantism" should you be the one attacked.

The Mayor of Philadelphia tried to pass a law banning the sale of handguns in the city. The new police chief is from Washington DC, where he succeeded in banning sales of pistols. This law is stupid. They mean well, but don't they understand the criminals are ALWAYS gonna get thier weapons. So, take weapons away from law abiding citizens, and wat do you have? People who cannot defend themselves or thier homes. That law is NOT the answer.

I'm glad the thug is dead. The lady should get her own pistol and learn to use it. If nothing else, we should all join the Texas State Rifle Association and the NRA.

Innocent people could be hurt in such a situation. More importantly, innocent people ARE hurt-by criminals every day.
