Aside from our resident defeatists, who's your favorite? Also, which one would you most like to see grow a pair, overcome BDS, (Bush Derangement Syndrome), and put US national security interests first?

Mine's gotta be Harry Reid, though Obama and Pelosi are tied in a very close second.

My all time favorite is Sam Adams. He went after Conservatives like a rabid dog, and terrified the crap out of them. But being a clever Liberal, when the British shot down protestors in the street, he INSISTED on giving them a fair trial.

Yeah, none of these Kangaroo Courts for ol Liberal Sam... Big Grin

"Liberals" of today bear little or no resemblence to Sam Adams. They much more closely emulate Karl Marx.

Nice try though.

Ok, How about Russ Feingold, for making a speech asking, What the hell is an assault rifle?

Or Dennis Kuccinich for bucking his party and actually drawing up and introducing Articles of Impeachment for both Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney.

Not sure if not agreeing with the way this war is being prosecuted makes one a defeatist. Many of us who've served in this war don't necessarily agree with the way it's being done, but do indeed support the extermination of terrorist. But, unlike you shades, I'm not an apologist for an admin. whose list of blunders trounce their list of accomplishments, so I guess I'm my favorite defeatist.

Dude, you're a great, great guy... a great defeatist -- you try really, really hard. But you're not good at it. Underneath your veneer of internet know-it-all there's a hard core of competence. Besides, you've actually done something.

A 'defeatist' is somebody whose idiocy is hurting America and is founded on total ignorance of the real world. Unless you're a member of the Project for the New American Century, you're just not top tier material.

I'd like to submit the entire membership as my DLP faves:

Gary Bauer
Elliot Abrams
Bill Bennett
Jeb Bush
Dick Cheney
Steve Forbes
Francis ***uyama
Fred Kagan
S****** Libby
Rich Lowry
Michael O'Hanlon
Daniel Pipes
Norman Podhoretz

I don't have a "favorite"...as I've stated on here before, liberals are scallywags of the lowest order and I dissapprove of their very existance.

Some will dispute that neo-conservatives are "liberal pansies".

Granted. They're more mariposa-y. Or perhaps lily-like. But it's close enuf for govt work.

I try, I try....what can I do.....add more scars? We can, of course, add a laundry list of "retired" Generals and upper enlisted men to Shade's list of defeatist pansies.

So I should post a new thread:

Who's your favorite Delusional Conservative Chickenhawk ??

But would that be any more of a real argument than this thread is ?

Here in Point/CounterPoint wee need to start with a point, a mere feelgood slander wont do it.

Jackob.. haven't you seen ccrosse's "Who's your favorite Chickenhawk??" thread? This thread of mine is a response to that.

ccrosse started with the "feelgood slander". I've merely attempted to show the flip-side of that coin here.

My thread is no less legitimate than his.

Hmmmm....somehow I tend to doubt your sincerity here, Mary. Wink

I haven't posted much on mil.com lately due to lack of time, and to be honest, lack of interest. When 2/3 of the mods were rabid lefties who didn't see anything wrong with integrating their bias into their moderation duties, it seemed pretty pointless.

Now the mods seem split about 50/50, which is how it should be. Also, they seem more professional overall.

So, you'll probably be seeing a bit more of me 'round here from now on.... whether that's a good or bad thing, I leave to you. Cool

Hands down, the best “Defeatist Liberal Pansy” is Dennis Kucinich – for an obvious reason.
