Most people on this board, Dems, Reps and Indies are informed on the policy regarding hotlinks. They are not allowed.

Well, Since I knew the answer to all the questions, I am more informed then all of them Big Grin

Todays politics remind me of an old saying. - "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?" - Joseph Stalin

The left still thinks that the CCCP's five and Seven year plans under Stalin, etc. were MASSIVE SUCCESSES! Explaining why the CCCP dominates the world economy....don't they? Wink

I pity the fool who thinks that 'The Left' is just some shapeless blob of fiscal liberalism you can neuter with a few hammer/sickle stickers...Oh, wait. What is it that makes me believe that the right will continue to try that failed strategy again and again?

Now go a-way or I shall taunt you a second time!

Interesting report, I believe that the assessment is correct:

Mary Katharine Ham finds this quite amusing and also notes that, “if the polling had gone the other way, the NYT would shout it from the rooftops.” She provides examples of the mainstream press doing just that on previous occasions.

This study was brought to you by the DNC. A bias organization.

Proving that you obviously didn't bother to read it - because this thread immediately came with a correction... you see, the article linked actually says "Republican's are Better Informed". Plainly, they didn't mean you...

Wow - three posts of yours on three different threads with the same, baseless knee-jerk reaction. Padding your post count?

So when you spoke to them they seemed uninformed because they were mouthing the party line more so then what they believed.

I would guess the same would be true of democrats. Mouthing the party line and looking uninformed.

it could also be that the minority party spends more time monitoring the actions of the majority and once the majority they slack off believing themselves to be in good hands.

Either way this same pool found exactly the opposite back in 2005.

If the democrats & the republicans were truly different ideologies, then we would see a actions that move America either closer or farther from our founding document accordingly.

Since we only move farther, logic says the parties are homogenized at the top wrungs of leadership.

It shouldn't be a surprise since the constitution limits the powers of washington and politicians being politicians prefer anti-constitution unlimited power.

The left is actually the ideologies of socialism, communism, fascism with the oligarthies secretely moving their homelands toward one of them for eventual totalitarianism and the right is anarchy. A free nation would have toposition itself to the right of center of these two opposites. Not middle, because middle is still moving with the oligarths but right of middle.

I think there's something to be said for your notion that both parties are twisted images of each other, both leading us to more extensive government control. One confusing point, though, is your claim that the right-wing is anarchy. That would be a total absence of government control, would it not? Are you claiming that the Republicans are just another left-wing group in disguise, leading us toward socialism/fascism?

In any event, I don't find anarchy to be any more comforting than totalitarianism. Perhaps we should be looking for an answer entirely off of the left-right spectrum. My personal choice is libertarianism...despite the rather nutball conservative version offered by the present Libertarian Party.

That is a very interesting idea - you are probably on to something there. It certainly does seem that the opposition is generally the more diligent in checking their facts...
