But did you go back and make sure the counts were "0" afterwards? Had a friend. She was treated like crap during the entire pregnancy - because the OB/Gyn had also done her husband's vas not even six months before she got pregnant for the 8th time. Baby was born - looked just like daddy. DNA testing proved it was his. Those tubes can grow back and become patent again Nuc !

There is a certain biological mechanical predictability here, right? But there are several women in the local neighborhood with 8 or 10 kids below the age of 10, so maybe some haven't figured it all completely out yet - - -

I thought I was bad with 5 in 4 1/2 years.
The one that got me was a patient's mother who had had 18 pregnancies with 17 living/surviving, no twins, and had done it all in under 20 years. That one really blew me away. I mean wouldn't you think that all the woman would have to do is squat and the baby would fall out after maybe the 6th one or so? Some people just LOVE being pregnant I guess. I had four in 7 and thinking back - Whatever was I thinking? Wouldn't trade a single one in but after #4 I realized the problem and was burned, cut, and tied.

LOL! We did our share of populating then Cal. I had 2 sets of twins back to back.....back when there wasn't any tests to show 2....just wait to hear 2 heartbeats. When my doc said I was pregnant with the last....I can't even repeat what I was thinking.
Have to say though, I am VERY blessed to have all of them turn out to be wonderful adults. No drug problems, no alcohol problems, no finanacial fiascos. The good Lord was looking over all of us.

I begged my doc to tie my tubes Cal. He kept saying he wouldn't do it because I was "too young" (23 and a widow) and I might want to have another child with a new husband. HUH? He was out of his mind. I got my way after 2 months of arguing and threatening him. When they did the C-Sec they tied the tubes.
