What are you so angry about. At least they are not abbreviating like they would if texting their thought.

Backtoiraq Wow! You should see the commenters on AOL 'In The News' section! They are extremely unaware of their mis-spelled words. The new thing, it seems, is 'teh' for "THE" As in teh lion or teh bear .....etc.

I could('nt) care less. No-one adds the ('nt) to it, which means they do care.....
Also, the meaningless sentences,,,
It goes without saying that...... As anyone can clearly see...... Everyone knows that...... It doesn't matter, but.....
On the other hand, when you are in a debate, and someone turns into the grammar or spelling police, it usually means that they have nothing to refute your statement, so they obfuscate with attacks on your English capabilities.
"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." ~~~Theodore Roosevelt~~~

Or they just find the improper use of grammar annoying.

I find errors more noticable than annoying; more annoying than irritating...then I realize my own shortcomings and others' become more acceptable. If I have an interest but, at the same time, uncertainties, I ask. I call all that communicating...some are better at it than others.

The way I see it we could all use the right words, spell them correctly and use proper grammar....and still not communicate. Sad ain't it?

Their/there/they're are homophones. Carrots/carrot's are also effectively homophones.
It is thus, to all intents and purposes, the same issue.

It is not just on here: such errors can occur in otherwise professional-looking communications.
Often the problem occurs where people use spell-checkers, and assume that anything that is passed by the spell-checker is correct.

I would have to argue that people should re-read what they are posting. And when doing that they should learn to EDIT their responses when they notice an error or they want to elaborate. Double posting is equally as annoying as improper use of certain words.
It would be equally nice if every once in awhile people could scale down all the QUOTE QUOTE QUOTE trees that can get quite large quite quickly if everyone simply hits reply every time. Focus on just what you are responding to rather than re-posting every word of every response.

How come I pressed "One for English" and still can't understand a word the dude is saying?
