You look at op-eds or guests on talk shows, liberals will have ex military officers, diplomats, nobel prize winners voice their opinions....

Meanwhile the conservatives trot out the likes of Neal Boortz, Glenn Beck, William Kristol, or Sarah Palin to yip yap or cluck away.

When it comes to the economy, do we want to talk to Neal Boortz or Paul Krugman?

I've noticed the same thing. The majority of the Conservatives that try to defend their position are pretty lame. They certainly aren’t convincing the educated people. What's more interesting is the military experience the right wing blowhards have......none.

Excuse me?

I am uneducated?

And what the HELL is wrong with my military service? My 214 says RE-1 United States Army Infantry, lists all of my awards, and I STILL have a blue rope hanging above my desk.

So I have NO service? I am a right winger. Some would call me a blowhard.

I wonder why people like you get a free pass when you're blanketing everyone who doesn't cow to your values as somehow less than you are?

I served honorably and have done my time. I'm also a Master Electrician and have a 3.98 GPA in my Associates in Project Management and own a small design/build contracting company.

Your stereotyping is a shame on you, sir.

EDIT: Spelling and removed a few words. So much for educated, lol

Not you silly rabbit. The real blowhards that convince the lemmings. The Limbaughs and Hannity's and the like.

Now I must point out that my post clearly said the blowhards had no military service. Now, analysis of that statement would indicate that it couldn't apply to you since you have military service.

How did you miss that point? Was it a case of you wanting something to be that wasn't? Hmmmmm? I'm going with you just misread the satement and leave it at that.

Perhaps I did misread. And if I did, then I offer my apologies.

However, I don't think I misread at all. The use of "blowhards" does not excuse the box you put everyone in that is not aligned with your core set of values and political idealism's. I am willing to bet that there are many out there -- Bill O'Reilly, for one example -- that are far more educated than either of us. And certainly far more successful, if money and popularity is a man's idea of success (mine is not).

Some of us think for ourselves and compromise on issues. Any liberal here will tell you that I do not slam their beliefs. In return, I demand the same respect.

The green tabs on my epaulets would certainly suggest that I have earned at least that, if not signify that I have.

You and I are both vets. We should be working to fix what's broken, not continue to spread the rift in political partisanship.

How will we accomplish such a lofty goal as "fixing problems" when we can't even agree there is a problem.

Here's a few things I see broken.

The Climate/Environment
The Economy
The Wars in Iraq and Afganistan
The Health Care system although I'm happy with my socialized military benefit.

Well LCDR, my car did get keyed while I had my Obama sticker on it. I finally took it off about two weeks after the elections were over. But you're right, there was alot of hostility after the elections just as there is now. The hostility has not subsided.

My daughter's car got keyed and it had no bumper stickers or nything else on it.

What does keying prove?

Someone kicked the side of my pick-up and the only sticker on it is 'USAF Retired' in back window.

Vadalism happens regardless of what is, or is not, disp[layed.

But blame a conservative if it makes you guys feel better. But then again, there was a lot of hostility from liberals in 2000/2001.....

Cripes, of course there are random acts of violence that seem to occur for no specific reason. We all know that.

There are also boneheads out there that respond to a trigger....such as an Obama sticker or sign or perhaps an Abortion Clinic or the color of ones skin.

Although we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave, place bumper stickers on your car at your own risk. We already know from the Department of Homeland Security and other think tanks that Obama has brought out the worst in many of your fellow Americans.

I find it funny that supporters of the left are talking about this after dismissing it in 2001. There was plenty of this crap making the news then (perpetrated by the 'Bush stole the election crowd'), but I do not recall the left denouncing it to any large degree. How about what was happening during the campaign? Seems to me just as much vandalism was directed at Senator McCain supporters as supporters of then-Senator Obama. And I really do not think it is actions of conservatives when a recruiting station is vandalized or attacked. And I do not think it was conservatives protesting outside the port of Olympia, Washington and destroying fencing, smashing vehicles, setting fires, etc. Nope, it was the academic elite led by the unltra-liberals from Evergreen State College.

But if you feel better touting some report while you are pointing your finger and believing in the purity of the party you support, have a nut dude.

My point was that there are idiots all over, all races, all creeds, all political flavors. Unfortunately the creeps will always be with us. Some here just throw a blanket and blame all conservatives and republicans and the crap is getting old.

Yep, all the fault of the right. Oh, fughing boo-hoo.

Obviously you have a faulty memory. The left was all over that behavior in 2001. I'm surprised it's slipped your mind.

So you want to compare crimes committed by perceived members of the left verses right do ya?

I think the right takes the cake. What with that unnecessary war and that torture thingy and oh, let's not forgot that illegal wiretapping or even the outing of a federal agent. Your up.

You really think it's liberals keying the cars of Obama supporters???

"Obviously you have a faulty memory. The left was all over that behavior in 2001. I'm surprised it's slipped your mind."

Not as much as you think. And not very much in this forum.

"So you want to compare crimes committed by perceived members of the left verses right do ya?"

So vandalism that appears to support a left agenda is perceived and against a left politician or agenda is definately from the right. A little double standard? And BTW - some of the "protesters" in Olympia were interviewed and admitted who they were and where they went to school.

"I think the right takes the cake. What with that unnecessary war and that torture thingy and oh, let's not forgot that illegal wiretapping or even the outing of a federal agent. Your up."

So we go from vandalism to political decisions. No quite the same thing. Oh, BTW - what about the Gulf of Tonkin and the Bay of Pigs thingies? Or all the baggage that has followed President Clinton for his entire political career? Oh, must be OK, they were democrats.

"You really think it's liberals keying the cars of Obama supporters???"

No, but your continual blabbering and insults are getting old. And this post is showing your frustration. You seem to have put yourself and all thing democrat on some saintly pedastal and you can not fathom the party and its supporters not being as pure as the driven snow. Take a good whiff. The crap on the left stinks just as much as anyones.

You are either drunk on the Kool Aid or a hypocrite. Or a writer for 'The West Wing'.

If I want to park anywhere near my building, I'm not allowed political bumper stickers on my vehicle. My car has a couple of peace signs and a daisy. (It's a New Beetle, what else could I have on it?)

Odd, I am in no way shape or form regret my choice to Vote for Obama. I would rather had put the devil himself in the White House over another Republican any day and will again next time if that is my only 2 options. Regret? Nope! You guys wanted it all your way or no way, guess what? You get it President Obama's way now! Applause Big Grin

Couldn't have been as bad as the current politburo we have now...And the time for blaming Bush is over. Any and all FAILURES, tax increases and shame are all squarely in the lap of the inexperienced, socialist, SHAM of an administration that is Barack Hussein Obama's.

A neighbor of mine is in the Army Reserves and has served in Iraq.

He has an interesting bumber sticker on his car.

It looks like an odometer that reads "Iraq" with the "q" rolling over to an "n" for "Iran". Wink

I had a Obama sticker on my truck during election time and for two months after. It was on it's own plate that I could take off and on. It was on when I had a VA appointment because I had to drive through North St Louis to get there. I sorta used it as a deterant from someone pulling up next to me and popping a cap on my arse. I finally was transfered to an outline clinic so after my last trip to John Cochren I through it in a dumpster. Wink

Keep the bumper stickers--when ACORN sends the "youths" out to "make a point" to certain Americans, it might keep your car from being torched....

Hey Kegler300, off topic but have you noticed how houses (bowling alleys) with pro shops will never have consistant lane conditions? My belief is so that they will sell more wet, and dry balls. Just a thought.

Good idea. . . . Those scumbags hanging around polling places to intimidate voters, then being let off their criminal hook by the Obama (mockery of) Justice Department, may be sent to a neighborhood near us. The Moneychanger will fork out lots of dough, made by betting against the dollar on the basis of policies instigated by the obamanation (wasteful spending and gross debt to raise inflation), to which he has donated big-time. How cute. Sure bolsters my respect for the personalities contaminating various government admin offices. (And how cowardly of the spineless, prostituted media to not make sure the whole story is known.)
