Yes I agree but those lines get crossed on this forum all too much with personal attacks.

RE: Peter Weddle | September 24, 2007 http://www.military.com/opinion/0,15202,150428,00.html?wh=wh

Peter Weddle, and other men like him would prefer others act docile and remain conformists (don't rock the boat if you don't have to),and right hand robots.

Whistleblower Protection Act(5 U.S.C. § 1221(e)), and the No FEAR Act et al., people came forward to expose their fraudulent employers namely the United States Government.
They refused to REMAIN SILENT as Peter Weddle implies in his article, now whose ignorant Peter Weddle ?

1. The Military Whistleblower Protection Act (10 U.S.C. § 1034

2. ENRONs Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling
Houston -- Enron Corp. employees lost their jobs, 401K, their life savings wiped out the employees and their 401Ks got hit the hardest. 20000 of them lost their jobs ... and according to Peter Wedel they should just be docile and not sound off get real.

3. Jeffrey Wigand, who exposed the Big Tobacco scandal, well known carcinogenic ingredients

4. Dr. Frederic Whitehurst, who exposed irregularities at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's FBI Crime Lab.

5. David Franklin, the drug company whistle-blower

6. Manpower, Kelly Services were exposed well known temporary agencies across United States of America who were billing clients (EMPLOYERS) $27 - $45 dollars per hour while paying the applicants (EMPLOYEE) $7.00 per hour ZERO benefits, now whose ignorant Peter Wedel?

7. Fannie Mae whistle-blower — Roger Barnes, a former Fannie Mae accounting ...

8.AT&T Whistleblower Blows Whistle on L.A. Times. Mark Klein, the former AT&T engineer

9. Marc Hodler, the Swiss IOC member who blew the whistle on corruption in the Salt ...

10. - Pentagon Whistle-Blower on the Coming War With Iran. ...

11. Bush/Cheney Halliburton profits It is owned by Cheney and it has seen record profits since The Bush/Cheney presidency. ...
,George W. Bush's SKULL & BONES Secret Society @ Yale University.

My question is this, these are only one small fraction of great examples across United States of America how did Peter Weddle miss it?

Next time you write an article Peter Weddle do your Goddamn homework, or readers with brains and thinking skills might have to put you to such shame boy!

People I hope your not that Goddamn docile.

I don't think this article was about whistleblowing, it was about stating your opinion about bosses and co-workers in negative ways (e.g. "My boss, Mr. X is such an a$$hole, he can't even tie his shoes without the help of Ms.Y, his hot secretary" in a blog). Whistleblowing is different than insulting, especially now that more and more companies extend their background checks to Internet profiles and the likes...

While I also don't see this a "whistle Blowing" I do understand his point completely. I was working on a simaliar article for print myslef and of cousre Peter makes his point so well.

In today's society there is MySapce, Facebook, and your own blogs where you as a proud american can post anything you like. So lets say you leave a job and since you all are here the assumption is you all are very itelligent and your the only smart person at said job. So you leave and decide I am going to tell the truth about what was going on there as that last job. I am going to expose all the idiots becasue someone has to know.

Well, they really don't and it would be really in poor taste to do so. It does not help them getting any smarter and in the end may hurt you find the next position leaving you to work with idiots again.

Pete's words are true and if you own a blog or a web sapce be careful with what you post you never know who is looking. More employers today are googling all of you to find out what your digital footprint looks like and sometimes they find out way to much.

Thanks Pete!

I truly understand what Peter Weddle is saying. I was one that for some reason was being smashed by my superiors and suboordinates everywhere I went while being employed. It seemed like the more efficent and productive I became while playing ball I was being crushed. Some who were hurting me were not as good or just plane lazy. Later down the line seeing some of these people they had things I know they should've had and it kind of hurt me. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you know that something isn't write just move on. I learned the hard way. You must let God fight your battles for you, and sooner or later someone will see the good in you. I became so angry because I know I was giving 150% and I felt like I was in hell at work and at home. Knowing what was going on around me was not fair, I could not even approach each person that did the wrong things to me because they made themselves avoidable until things would calm down. It seemed like a nightmare because it was all coming from the top. You have to be in my shoes to know what I went through. The organization that I grew up wanting to be apart of somehow sent me to the wrong place and the wrong supervisor. From there I had no career. It was hell. But I can never blame the organization because I loved it that much. But I do regret working for that individual because my life is upside down now because of it. But after today I'll never write about it again nor speak of it. God will have the final say. I know he will, sometimes you just have to trust in him. And know that's the only person that I you can trust. I've learned that if you are persistant they will hang themselve. You might not see it but it will come. I've lost everything to include my children, but God is a miracle worker trust me. I've been judged by America. God said time will tell. God Bless!!!!

Those of us who have served have, in fact, done a great deal to ensure the continued rights of the populace of our Nation. When once again we join the general population, we have, in essence, served to protect our rights as private citizens. This includes, among many other things, freedom of speech. While enjoying this most wonderful of freedoms, we must constantly be aware that there will be those who will wish to suppress as much as they can of our inputs when the subject matter differs from their opinions, desires, and affiliations. These leeches of society who haven't served and probably would not serve if Al Queda moved next door to them, will continue to elevate themselves by other means to positions of oversight of those of us who have served. I said all that to say this: BEWARE OF THE CHICKEN-HAWKS AMONG US! thank you hagd
