If you are getting to relocate to Oklahoma and you need information about your bases or posts, housing, schools, place to see, things to do. Please let me know. My husband is retired from the military recently, we know how you feel and how stressful it is to be moving to a place that you are not familiar with. I am a part time realtor. If I can do something to make your transition easier I'll be glad to. You can

If you are relocating to Oklahoma, do what ever you can to prevent it. I retired here last year and I hate it. I regret not leaving the Fort Sill/Lawton area. Good paying jobs are hard to come by. The folks who run this town are small minded good ole boys that do not want growth, but they want more tax revenue. Forget about getting a GS job on Ft Sill, unless you know someone. Even that does not help. I've been trying to get in there for almost a year. The best I've got was an interview, because I knew someone. I never learned why I wasn't chosen. Probably because I didn't have my VA rating yet. Do yourself a favor and avoid OK. Frt Sill/Lawton in particullar.

I did a week of work in OK City. That was enough. I am looking at places to live in the future and I am not excited by anywhere enough to move - yet.
