Even still, once you get to the portal, there is an option to download application. you click it then you can open or save to desktop or whatever, but guess what, it doesn't work. Confused

I was pretty happy with the billet map, I need to take another look at it and see what the opportunities are above ME1. Seems like a lot of the ME1 billets are Weapons PO for stations. Thought there would be more ME1 billets within TACLET.

Hmm, tried today, and it downloaded perfectly fine. For the past two days it wouldn't though. SmileI am pleased with a lot of the billets, but there are some I wouldn't want. (as with any rate really.)

Curious about your thoughts. Will the CG be able to man these AD billets. A lot of BMs, MKs, and GMs I talk to are reconsidering to apply for the new ME rating, especially at the E7, E8, and E9 level. On the AD side, there's only XX MECS billets, XX MECM billets, and XX MLES billets. However, there's XX MECs. Interesting, to say the least.

This is the third time you've done this, Hammer. Three strikes and you are out. Twenty day time out (I gave you ten last time).

Hammer,

Is the reluctance for the AD side due to some of those things mentioned? I'm curious as we all recall the screaming and crying for this rate to happen, now it seems that members don't want it?

Interesting dynamics on the actual billets. Seems like there's a lot of senior enlisted positions at tactical units. How will this play out when most of your senior folks may be over 40 years old, trying to maintain tactical MLE qualifications, etc?

BTDT;
Well, you can count out many of the E8 and E9 BMS who probably don't want to give up any command cadre opportunities. However, those that can't get OinC Afloat/Ashore certifications may be jumping at this chance. As you know, these will be required of BMs attempting to advance to BMCS and BMCM. Yet, there's only two underway assignments for MECs, which I have been told will be reprogrammed to E6s. So, where does that leave the BMs? That's where the bulk of the MEs were supposed to come from. Yes, people have been crying for this rating, so now let's see what actions will be taken by individuals who did most of the crying!

I expect there will be a lot of GM's jumping on the bandwagon since I have read many of the shore station GM billets will be converted to ME.

Probably a lot of GM's that don't really want to give up that shore duty.....
