I'm trying to find out how many SAR cases the Coast Guard averages a year at different types of units and what type of cases they are. Does any one have any place that I can start researching this information. Thanks

Start with the CG's Office of Search & Rescue (CG-534), you will find links to SAR Stats.

The answer you seek is in CGBI. Call OSC Martinsburg and they can give you training over the phone on how to navigate the different queries.

But, the answer you seek is definitely in that system.
