I have a friend who is going to Afghanistan pretty soon and I just have some questions.

Are the sailors going to be in combat zone when they go IA?

What are some of the jobs that the sailors do when they go over there?

What are some of the things you can do to survive being over there? What kind of things do you do over there like fun stuff?,,,Tell me some your experiences

What if you refused to go IA? What will happen to you? What are some of the things you can do to get away from it.

Thanks!

What are some of the jobs that the sailors do when they go over there? depends on what they are sent there for. My DH, for instance is compiling data and making reports to Senior Personnel.

GH has allthe comforts of home. but the guys that com ein for outlying areas for a few days of R&R are living out of sleeping bags in the desert eating MREs three times a day.

DH decided to pick and choose the manner fo his deploying so he had some control over it. His first 2 requests to volunteer were turned down.

Thanks!
