I started a website for IA's families. Our website group is for IA's families to connect with other IA's families. I am an IA family and I wanted to chat with others so I started this website. We do meet up once a month localy, but also have families from all over the U.S. that have joined. If you have any comments or want to join please email me thanks.

Thank you
Adrienne

Dearest Adrienne:

I commend on your efforts. I am not the spouse of an IA but am interested in the websit for another reason. My husband is the Command Masterchief for a unit that deploys many sailors in the IA billets in conjunction with a different service. We are stationed overseas and the IA community is small. Because we are overseas there is little access for spouses to visit with family. If there are any outlets for these spouses, I wish to pass the information on to them.

I feel for all who are apart. Over the past 26 years, my husband and have experienced the aloneness many times. You just don't forget, it creeps in at the oddest times.

One advantage is it will make for a stronger spouse no matter how you look at it. I can't say I have ever met a spouse who has had to deal with this as coming out of it weak. There is always something different, but always a strength that others don't have.

Any information available will be of help.

Thank you.

Great Job! I am a USAR IMA with 30 plus years of service and assigned to a U.S. Army OCONUS position. I am a little more prepared in getting my family ready when I have been mobilized, due to my several deployments in the past. But there are several in the military that are not. There is not much of a support system for our IMA families while we are deployed down range. Especially, if we are sent to Iraq or Afgahistan.

Thanks again and continue to keep up the good work!

God Bless
