I am participating in a biathlon this Sunday, October 18, to benefit our men and women injured in battle. With just a few days left, I am looking for help from the civilian community in reaching my personal goal of $1,500 (just $325 shy as I write this), which will go to the organizational goal of $40,000. Monies raised go to outfitting soldiers with adaptive kayak/paddling gear, and transportation, in so that they can take their long-term recovery into their own hands. As a kayaker, I can tell you the freedoms found on the water help all of us forget our troubles, even if for just a few hours.
If you find you can part with even $1, $5, please click through the link below. All donations are tax deductible.
I have never met a more deserving group of people in my life. Thank you for your time, and consideration. If you know of anyone who may like to help, please forward this link.
We're so close, just $25 more and we will have reached $1,500. Every dollar counts, so please do what you can to help this team reach/surpass its goal. Thanks everyone.
