Retired Major General to speak at air defense celebration

Retired Maj. Gen. Donald Infante will be among the guest speakers at next week's air defense celebration by Fort Bliss and the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Center and School. Infante, a former commandant of the school, will be joined by Fort Bliss Commander Maj. Gen. Howard Bromberg, Cmd. Sgt. Maj. Robert Rodgers, command historian John Hamilton, retired Cmd. Sgt. Maj. Mark Avery and others.
The military is celebrating the 40th anniversary of artillery air defense, Army post officials said.
The celebration will kick off at 3 p.m., June 19, at the Fort Bliss Museum and Study Center, Building 1735, Marshall Road.
