Come to think of it, I hadn't seen a yearbook in a while. Usually Mom gets them in the mail and holds them for me.... When was it stopped?

I was glad to find that airdefenseartillary.com site. I've visited and looked around some. I hate that many of the links are to PDF docs that take forever to load up thru my modem, but still a lot of good stuff there.

Following is some info re: a relatively new effort to remember Nike. Loosely(?) associated with the SF-88 preservation/restoration people.
So far, I've only joined Facebook (it was free) and took a quick peek around:

Basic Info
Type: Common Interest - Friends
Description: We operated and maintained the Nike Miissile air defense systems during the cold war. Some were missile men as a part of Artillary and others where high level support under the Ordnance corps. Due to a lack of a proper web site, we are listing the Nike Historical Society for now.

Anyone who has an interest in what we did are welcome to join.

Contact Info
Website: http://www.nikemissile.org/

Just thought I'd pass this along.

I got the feeling I really muddied the water here.

First, Migbuster, I hear you saying you are a member of both the ADA assoc. (life member) and nikemissile.org ("Am a member...Thats was my site for 4 Months in 74.") Have I got this much right so far?

This is the email I got about the new group formed on Facebook:

"George invited you to join the Facebook group "Nike Missile Veterns & Friends".

George says, "I have created a group for us. Please join and upload some of your favorite pictures and videos.".

To see more details and confirm this group invitation, follow the link below:
http://www.facebook.com/n/?group.php&gid=19200894525"

I found no "contact info" for the new Facebook group on the nikemissile.com site but the above addy does go to the group home page on Facebook. I'm guessing you can't participate in the Facebook group till you join both Facebook AND the Nike Missile Veterns & Friends group.

Whew! That was a lot more dificult than I ever thought it would be. Does any of it help at all?
