From what I understand the Navy and Army both did away with having a pre-surgery Rx limit of -8.00 refractive error. The Navy actually just did away with it a couple months ago. They were letting guys enlist over the limit anyways. This is for all non aviation slots. I'm talking spec ops, PJ's/ CCT. Is the AF going to follow suit?

No rumors of any changes from any of the people in the know that I keep contact with. Also there is more to what is waived and what is not waived that carries a bit more weight pertinent to operational risk than the extent of pre-surgery Rx refractive error being corrected. |
